I really like this solar post light. I currently have it situated on my patio table rather than affixed to a post. I like being able to move it where I like for dinner or barbecues.The glass on the side has a nice semi-frosted look with ribbing that gives a little bit of soft diffusion to the light inside. It’s a warm, semi-bright light that provides enough illumination in probably a five foot diameter to go outside and let the dog answer the call of nature at night. It’s heavy duty metal and has a really nice, large solar panel on the top with a large battery that lasts well past the time I go to sleep.There are a lot of inexpensive, plastic lights on the market, and I think this is a nice upgrade over most solar lights on the market.

The light works pretty well. The casing is well constructed and sturdy with plenty of solar panels.Unfortunately, the remote has very little range. I have to be about 2 ft away in order to turn it off. Which means I have to walk out into the yard to turn it off.So, for the time being I’m just leaving it on.

This is a beautiful light! For some reason I always forget to check the size of items, and the light is larger than I expected but that’s just fine. Deserving so, I now see why it’s in the higher price range. I did have to change the original location I arranged to place it. The spot was too congested for this light. Now I’ll be able to place it out farther by the curb because the light is bright enough to illuminate most of my yard. So the size was indeed a pleasant surprise. I’ll have a well-lit home!

The photos in the product description of this pillar lamp from the MVBT store show a diffused light pattern. This is definitely not a diffused light. It produces a piercing light from the light bulb (look at the night photo.) I am concerned this will annoy our neighbors and could distract drivers on the street.The remote control for this lamp does not work. The battery can not be removed or checked since it is jammed inside the remote. Forcing it anymore will break the case.The lamp came from the factory in the ON position. The light came on as soon as I removed it from the packaging and placed it upside down on the foam cushioning.This pillar lantern has a water resistant rating of IP54. I wish it were more like IP64 or IP65. Priced at $140 this lantern is in the high-end range of solar lighting and I would expect it to be more weather resistant and durable than much lower priced solar garden lights.The solar array on top of the unit I received was mounted slightly crooked with the collectors not parallel to the edges. This in no way affects performance. Most people would not notice it. From a manufacturing point of view, since the metal case is manufactured to a high standard, I would think the assembly of the solar collector would also be meticulously installed – not so.I like the fact that the unit houses an E26 standard base bulb. I wanted to try some other E26 warm filament bulbs in this unit. When I tried to unscrew the bulb that came with it, I noticed that the bulb was very tightly screwed in, and I did not want to exert too much more force to loosen it. I wonder if the factory used Loctite thread locker or just screwed it in tightly.Although this lantern's casing is of high quality, and it has a large solar collector and storage battery, the problem of the light being too directional and piercing is its main drawback. The numerous problems with the remote control and a light bulb that is overly tight in the socket only add to the disappointments I experienced with it.

This outdoor post light is made of glass and metal. It is a very sturdy light fixture. It came with the light bulb inside and clear installing instructions. Include all hardware needed to install this light. This light will be installed in my back yard to help me see what is outside at night.

I bought the MVBT Solar Outdoor Post Light for my garden, and it's been working great. It's well made and looks very stylish. The warm light creates a nice atmosphere, and it's easy to install. The waterproof feature is a bonus, especially during rainy weather. The solar panels work efficiently, and the light lasts all night. My only small complaint is that it could be a bit brighter, but overall, I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to others. 4🌟

LOCATION: Deck south facing put semi shaded in SouthEast USA in spring. Seems to have a large enough solar panel to charge the light even on partly cloudy days to keep the light burning all night long. I have been experimenting with solar lights and this one is the longest lasting one I have found so far. Others in same location with smaller panel are just lasting a few hours.I am looking for something that will last all night long for my deck and that will project a wide path of light for safety while letting the dogs out for their last walkabout before bed. This one does not project enough for pathway safety put does have a nice ambient light for gate post and deck post for landscape lighting. I would highly recommend this for landscape type lighting but not for pathway safety lighting unless spaced close together.It is of high quality construction and modern design.
