## Overview

The TUHOME Cala 40-inch kitchen island is a freestanding prep table crafted from engineered wood with a durable melamine finish. Measuring 40.5" wide, 27.5" deep, and 35.4" tall, it offers a counter-height work surface ideal for standing prep. Featuring three open storage compartments and a closed back panel, it provides versatile placement options and easy access to cookware and pantry items. Assembly is required, and the island ships in one box, making it a stylish, functional upgrade for small kitchens.

## Description

The TUHOME Cala kitchen island is a freestanding prep table with open storage underneath, made for kitchens that need more counter space and a place to keep pots, pans and pantry basics within reach. It stands on four straight legs and works in the middle of the room, against a wall or at the end of a run of cabinets. Measure your space before you order: the island is 40.5 inches wide, 27.5 inches deep and 35.4 inches tall, and it weighs about 78 pounds once assembled. The 35.4-inch height is close to a standard kitchen counter, so you can chop, mix and plate standing up without bending. Below the top there are three open storage compartments: one full-width upper shelf, and a lower shelf split in two by a center divider, so pans can go on one side and canisters or small appliances on the other. Both ends of the island are open, which lets you reach the shelves from the side as well as from the front. The back is a closed panel, so the finished side can face the room or sit flush against a wall. The island is made of engineered wood (particle board) with a high-resistance melamine finish that wipes clean with a damp cloth. The top is Light Gray and the legs, aprons, shelves, divider and back panel are white. Please note before ordering: assembly is required, with hardware and instructions included, and the island ships in 1 box. Decor and kitchen objects shown in the photos are not included. Stools are not included. Pair it with other pieces from the Cala collection, sold separately.

## Features

- MEASURE BEFORE YOU BUY: 40.5" W x 27.5" D x 35.4" H This is a full-size island, not a rolling cart. It is 40.5 inches wide, 27.5 inches deep and 35.4 inches tall, and it weighs about 78 pounds assembled. Check the floor space and the walkways around it before ordering.
- THREE OPEN STORAGE COMPARTMENTS One full-width upper shelf plus a lower shelf split in two by a center divider, so pots, pans, canisters, cookbooks and small appliances each get their own spot. Everything stays in view and within reach while you cook.
- COUNTER-HEIGHT WORK SURFACE The 40.5-inch top adds a solid surface for chopping, mixing, plating and serving. At 35.4 inches tall it is close to a standard kitchen counter height, so you can prep standing up. The melamine finish wipes clean with a damp cloth.
- CLOSED BACK, OPEN ENDS The back of the island is a finished solid panel, so it can face a dining area or sit against a wall, while both ends are open so you can reach the shelves from the side. Freestanding on four legs, no wall mounting needed.
- ENGINEERED WOOD, ASSEMBLY REQUIRED, SHIPS IN 1 BOX Made of engineered wood (particle board) with a high-resistance melamine finish: Light Gray top with white legs, shelves and back. Arrives flat with hardware and instructions. Decor items and stools shown are not included; other Cala pieces are sold separately.
