Quite pleased with this purchase. These are more of a bold nutty flavor and well separating grains. Extra long as a true basmati should be. Good value. These were very fresh. They cooked up totally normal in time and right in line with a very nice quality basmati. Everything about this product was as a basmati should be. The only thing that I would say about it that was different is the flavor is a bit warmer a little bit bolder, and slightly more nutty than others I’ve had. It’s actually very nice. I will buy it again.

OMG. As a lifelong rice lover, I wanted to try an actual Indian grown basmati. The grains are thinner than, an American style rice, so reduce your cooking time by a few minutes. This is a premium grade rice, as it should be, at this price point. Few, if any broken grains with a uniform grain size. I would also recommend rinsing this rice in cold water and use a bamboo steamer. I also use a parchment liner, inside the steamer. Set your timer. I’m old school, no electric rice cookers for me. Once cooked fluff the 3/4” to 1” long cooked grains Bentley with a fork and dug in.

When I first discovered this brand of Basmati rice, I was so happy. Tender after being cooked, and very flavorful. HOWEVER, the second 10# bag was a total disaster. There was no flavor, and although the grain would swell, the rice remained firm....kind of like styrofoam. And the flavor...? It really had no flavor, except when opening my mouth a slight taste of 'mustiness' crossed my tongue? I looked, the bag was sealed when I opened it, and there was not insects in the bag....and there was no wetness anywhere. I store my rice in air tight glass jars when I open a 10# bag, so it wasn't my storage problem. I don't know where this musty flavor came from....but I'm throwing the entire bag in the trash. This is sad. The wasted money I can deal with, but the wasted rice is much harder to deal with.

I have gotten this a few times and it is the same quality each delivery. Easy to prepare. I rinse this first. I then add new water and let soak for at least 15 mins. then rinse again. I do that several times. The process does make the rice less sticky which I prefer. I do not like all the starch on rice. The flavor is good. Never found any objects in container. Seems fresh and clean each purchase.

This is the worst quality basmati rice I have ever purchased in my life, and that is something considering I have eaten rice all my life. Every time I cook this rice, the aroma is slightly off and the rice goes stale in almost a day. In fact the rice appears almost yellow in the transparent container. At first I thought the refrigerator in our apartment was bad. Then we moved to a new place that is just fine and this rice still goes stale in no time. The taste has never been great either. Unfortunately I missed my return window within days or I would have returned it. I will return to buying the brand that I always like. Please avoid this basmati brand. I would have given ZERO stars, if I could.

This is the best rice i have ever put in my mouth im on the third bag

The overall quality is good, whole grain and not broken considering the thoroughly dried grain having 9% moisture content (verified with rice moisture meter). However, the 2 years of aging I suspect, caused it to have a hint of burlap sack scent when cooked

This tasty rice smells delicious, almost like popcorn as it cooks. It cooks up quite dry, by which I mean not sticky, and is almost an inch long when fully cooked. It reheats well too. It is delicious on its own although I do love a bit of butter or coconut milk in it.

Except for the packaging, this is a wonderful product. The packaging does not allow for sealing the product.

Love this basmati rice. Always comes out perfect and fluffy and tastes great.

just as I opened the package the color was realy not nice and no free return did not taste yet and I don t think I will much cheaper at grocery store really not good there's a taste of earthworm to it
