This is a sweet little beginner set of Smart Max magnetic rings. I have several other sets and they all work together. The magnets are good and strong but not too strong. It is interesting to me that the white rings are not magnetic to each other but they do have magnetic attraction to the half rings and sticks. Also the purple and orange disk only has an interior magnet in the center part.This is a good magnetic set for starting ages of 1 1/2. There are a total of 10 pieces in this set but toddlers can make several different things here. It includes a great colored chart showing 19 different figures to create. My grandkids just like to put pieces together to make silly people.This comes in a sturdy box for storage and would make a nice gift for a toddler. It would really shine though when added to larger sets to give many more options. I wish I would have purchased some of their other small sets as together they really have some unique pieces, but I do have some of the bigger sets to add this one into the mix.Nice quality, easy to clean, bright colors, fun shapes, and a cute round ball with a sweet little face….I would purchase this set again.

This magnetic building set is great for toddlers and preschoolers. This set comes with 12 pieces and design sheets that show different construction possibilities. The magnets are easy enough for children to manipulate, but strong enough to hold designs together. Although the smiley face and different color pieces seem to be geared towards younger kids/early toddlers, this set is fun for older children as well. Our 3 year old enjoys building different designs and incorporates other magnetic pieces. This is a great starter kit and would make a nice gift.

This is a really cool baby toy. It’s magnetic (and the magnets are pretty strong so it stays together) and configurable in pretty much infinite ways. It comes with an ideas poster, but you can kind of let your imagination go ham with the 12 pieces it comes with. My little one isn’t quite old enough to build on his own, but he likes bopping around the toy (which has a wobbly base) and is interested in the brightly colored pieces individually.

These smart max pieces are magnetic but they’re bigger shapes and not flat like magnatiles. They’re good for smaller and less coordinated hands. I like the included poster that has building ideas, my toddler can use that for inspo whereas my baby is just into holding them for now. The recommended age is 18 months + and I can see that as the pieces are not small but I wouldn’t let my baby play unattended.

This magnet toy is an absolute favorite of the kiddos. I find it fascinating to watch then experiment with the magnets by building little weights from them or connecting their handles to each other. They seem to be thoroughly engaged with the toy, often playing with it for several minutes at a time. I appreciate the various colors and the little faces on them as they help in developing the kiddos fine motor skills. It's an awesome toy that keeps the kiddos entertained.
