Do I add this at the very end when I’m about go eat it or do I add this so that it can boil/ cook at the same time with the water ?

Add with water and little bit of fish sauce to boil. I personally like to cook it in the crockpot with bone-in meat while I’m at work. Makes an even better broth. However, you can add it to boiling water for a quick pho.

How many bowls can you get out of a jar?

We've never made a single bowl but it's 3 of us. We used 1/3 of the jar along with other seasonings, because we prefer a deep flavor in one pot. We used one jar 3 times so let's guestimate 9 - 10 bowls. Hope this helps.
