I'm done with cheap department store belts. You know the ones I'm talking about. Their everyday price is $50.00. But then you see them on sale for 25% off (which makes them $37.50). On top of that, the store is always sending me coupons for another 20% off, bringing the price down to only $30.00. So, I walk out of the store feeling pretty good that I got a "fifty dollar belt" for only thirty dollars.The problem is that department store belts are made from poor materials. They crack or they break, and in a couple of years I have to buy another one. Even at $30.00, they're way overpriced. The other consideration is that belts made in China (or somewhere else overseas) don't create American jobs.This belt from Main Street Forge is made in the USA. It doesn't have a vinyl backing. Nor is it made fromcheap bonded leather that's a mixture of ground-up scrap leather and glue. It's a solid piece of full grain leather that's measures around 9/64" thick (.140").Although I haven't had this belt very long, I can tell it's going to last. Even at a price of $60.00, it's still going to cost me less in the long run than replacing cheap belts every couple of years. Besides, it's really nice to look on the back of this belt and see "Made in USA."

The media could not be loaded.  I haven one week use it, and it is twisted and carved. That is normal? But I liked the rigid leather

This belt is really heavy duty and cool looking!I work outdoors, between me hanging tools knifes the hard conditions of the cold mornings or the horrible sun, belts don’t last me muchI was tired of going thru expensive belts I got at them mall and after a long research (that made my wife sick and tired of me talking about belts ) realized that, genuine leather is not the same as real leather, that’s when I came across, this real leather belt, this is my second belt since the first was a test and ordered big in case it didn’t last, I could give it to one of my workers, but turns out this was really good and I kept the big one and I’m extremely happy with this one that is my sizeNot to mention, the price is so cheap compare to other brands or real leather, and I don’t need any extra belts as this one also works for going out and even wearing it with a suit! 10 out of 10 will recommend

When I received this belt I was astonished how thin it was. Not heavy duty as I expected it to be for the price paid.Would have returned had I not needed a belt urgently.
