These pain relief patches are incredibly sticky. Once you get them on, they stick! If you leave them on, too long, it's a bit difficult to get them off; so I say that is a huge plus, since most other patches I've tried fall right off. As far as effectiveness goes, they don't really work for me. After an hour or so, I can begin to feel a slight effect, that slight effect lasts as long as I wear the patch. I prefer other pain creams, such as Icy Hot, because they provide a deeper and stronger effect.

I won't use anything else. I wish there was an option for a longer wider patch to wrap my lower leg, feet and aknles.

Some may love it but for me they smelt like moldy musty and I could not handle it

My leg muscles were sore the day following a hike up a small mountain in Iraq to visit some 3000 year old castle ruins. I made the mistake applying all 8 tiger balm patches from one of the packs. I expected them to produce some heat and maybe relieve a bit of the soreness. I don't think they really helped at all. I did smell a light menthol-like scent. To make things worse, the patches were painful to remove from my hairy legs. I was left with eight, 3 inch x 5 inch, red, hairless rectangles and even more soreness than the previous day. I tried removing these in the shower but water did not seem to loosen the adhesion at all. So the problem isn't that these patches don't stick but rather that they stick far too well.

Lately it seems my back is fed up with something, and I keep trying out things to ease some minor aches. I was very happy, but a little nervous, to try these patches out… they looked intimidating, and brought up memories from some very strong products I’ve tried in the past.There are plenty of patches in this product, packaged in pouches of 8. The patches are a bit on the smaller side, but the first thing I noticed was their smell - the smell feels kind of familiar, but my brain refuses to identify it. I was a little afraid to try the patch, but, to my surprise, there was no intense heat. The heat sensation is very mild, hardly any at all. What I was surprised though was the effectiveness - the pain relief was impressive, and it lasts for several hours. While removing the patch was not a pleasant experience, it was not a big deal either (but then I am used to regular waxing).In general, I tend to prefer topical pain relievers to pills if it is a reasonable option, and I think that this one is. I am very happy with the product and the experience.
