- CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 Exam Cram

I took Jason Deion practice test and used this book to help improve areas of deficiency. If you want more detail on a certain subject you may need another resource.

Amazing book, straight to the point and to the objectives that are actually on this test. This is a must have supplement to your studying. Fwiw I got an 800+ on my test and this book will not let you down, but be sure to supplement with other sources!!

ExamCram does a great job. I definitely recommend them if you're looking into IT certifications. The material is straightforward, and covers each exam objective you need to know for the test. I managed to pass CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ on the first try. I literally read the book once, watched Professor Messers free youtube series, then took the test. Can't imagine anyone doing it better. Examcram is the way for written material, and Professor Messer is the way for video material.

I really enjoyed reading this book and helping me to prepare for the exam. The layout, content and design of the book is exceptional. It really helps me to retain information as I study. There are a decent amount of graphics in the book which help the reader to retain information. The "exam alerts" found throughout the text are hrlpful. Even better, the layout of the book logically follows the exam objectives. Overall, an excellent book and I'm happy I made the purchase.

I recently purchased this book to refresh my knowledge after taking the test many years ago, and I can confidently say it’s an invaluable resource. I wish I had this book back then—it would have made passing the test so much easier. Whether you’re looking to brush up on what you already know, improve your understanding, or prepare for the test for the first time, this book is an absolute must-have. It’s a worthwhile investment both in terms of cost and the time spent reading it. Highly recommended!

It's condensed, which is why there aren't a lot of pages, so taking notes probably won't help because the basic info you need to know is already in the book. I'm trying to use all facets of learning before I take the exam... But we will see if this information is accurate enough for me to pass

Great book! The new 701 version doesn’t include the cram sheet, which was included in the SYO-601 version, hate that! :\ I ordered a new book to be sure, and that didn’t include one either. Update: I was wrong. The cram "sheet" is different for this version; it's located on page 602.

Passed the test. Only thing I would like to be more heavily emphasized is CompTIA love for acronyms. This book didn’t stress just how much you really need to learn all these acronyms. Other than that this book can easily prepare you for the test

I'm writing this review as i'm disappointed that there was test card inserted in the back of the book - The card is used to access the free online test exams and has a unique code which I hadn't received. The quality of the book itself is brilliant - and well written - I will remove this review if amazon can provide me with the unique access code.
