Really like both products the ball brush is really durable

I bought (and subsequently returned) this with the understanding that this wax would make the footballs more tacky and water resistant. That was not the case. The wax was really gummy. It actually made the footballs more slick. The brush was too soft to work in the wax.

The brush is good but the wax is very hard to apply to a leather football and kind of makes it harder to use but the brush is good

Tested this brush and wax kit, but not on footballs. The brush appears to be similar to those used for shoe shining. The bristles polished well and did not pull out, although there were several long hairs which needed trimming prior to use. The wood back was sturdy and nicely sized for use in hand.The bar of wax was hard and did not apply well to anything. There weren't instructions so perhaps heating it up somehow would have helped. I can imagine the rough texture of an American football could create enough friction to apply the wax but I'm not sure the brush could remove it.Tried the brush with a beeswax mixture made for waxing furniture and the brush worked like a charm.

Do not buy this product with the intent of using it to apply wax to a football the brush is not strong enough to correctly brush a football and won't work in the intended fashion.

I will freely admit I don’t play football and didn’t order this to wax my football. I go to the beach; sand gets everywhere. I wanted a brush to clean sand off before I get into my car (if I drive) or before I come inside my house (I often bike). I was looking for something easy to hold, stiff enough bristles but not too stiff and not too soft, and easy to grip and use. I also cross-shopped with tire detailing brushes, but this looked like it would fit my needs. I do wish it were a bit larger, and perhaps the bristles a bit more soft; however it does fit my purpose OK.
