Lush Life: An Artie Deemer Mystery

I really enjoy these books. They are light but interesting. Funny, too! I want to read them all & will try!

I very much like Murphy's writing. He uses good vocabulary and often made me smile with a clever turn of phrase. The characters are very appealing, keeping me reading even though I understand very little about pool. Artie has intelligence and the grace to admit that he's simply living off his famous dog's earnings. Crystal, his girlfriend, is a street-smart pool player and pool hall manager, and I liked how she and Artie worked together to solve the mystery. And Jellyroll, of course, adds a lot of light-heartedness to what otherwise might have been a dark story. Good (if complicated) plot with plenty of action.I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed it.
