Daddy Davis for the WIN 😍
REVIEW- ROPE THE MOONStars- ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️Spice- 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️________________ I received an advanced copy of the book and am leaving an honest review 😊DAVIS MOTHER FLIPPING MONTGOMERY. DAAAAAMN Ava. You really didn’t have to hit that hard. But OMGAWD. I will forever be in my Daddy Davis ™️ era. This is book 2 in the Runaway Ranch series. I was so pumped for Davis’ story. He almost out-grumps Charlie. But my god, is it ever hot. I was just feral for his and Dakota’s relationship. This has like EVERY one of my fave tropes- cowboy! small town! romantic suspense! forced proximity! alpha hero! he’s the daddy but not the dad!I devoured this in like 3 hours. I COULD NOT put it down. I loved every thing about Davis and Dakota. He’s sooo protective of her. It has all the “it’s always been you” vibes. And even though it’s not always my favourite, I loved this second chance romance.I loved Dakota as the heroine. She was strong and trying to do right for her baby. I loved how they found their way back to each other and NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP!!You cannot go wrong with this series and I am frothing at the mouth for more! Get off your butt and order this baby. Those Montgomery boys are 🔥.

Another Incredible Book!!!!
I was given an ARC."We’ve got the Cupcake headed to the barn with the Fairy Tale” ~ WyattAva has done it again!! This book was incredible!I've been waiting since October to get my hands on this book and I was not disappointed.I fell in love with Runaway Ranch and The Mongomrory brothers in [book:Tame the Heart|197375272] But Davis held my attention and now I know why.Ava's writing style is, as always impeccable. She'll have you on the edge of your seat, worrying for characters and wanting to know what comes next.Like Ava's previous books, she's created believable characters you will find yourself falling in love with. You'll want them to be your best friends.Ava writes swoon-worthy cowboy romances like it's nothing. And I have a feeling that she is only going to get better!Dakota is as fierce as fierce comes! She doesn't let anything stop her, not her fears, not her ex, not people's judgment. Watching her go from this small scared woman who was running from an ex to this strong, empowering woman who would do anything to protect her friends and family was inspiring!!We got to know a little about Davis in Charlie and Ruby's book, but we truly saw him come into his own. We got to fully understand how far he would go to protect those he cared about. Seeing him become this anchor for Dakota, and take on this protectiveness for her baby was wonderful! He grew a lot in his book!Overall this book was amazing, I loved every second of it and couldn't stop reading. (Not even when I was waiting for my doctor's appointment 😅) I can't wait for it to come out so that everyone else can read and enjoy Davis and Dakota's book. Until then, make sure you go and read Charlie and Ruby's story to get introduced to The Montgomery brothers and Runaway Ranch! You won't regret it!

Another unmissable small town romance ✨
— 4 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖 | 418 pages👤 | author Ava Hunter🏢 | published independently📅 | release date 28 March 2024What you can expect:— Adult Contemporary Romance— Second Instalment In A Series (can be read as a standalone)— First-Person POV— Dual-POV— She's Pregnant (but it's not his)— Friends To Lovers— Second Chance Romance— Runaway Heroine X Ex-Military Hero— Found Family— Close Proximity— Bodyguard Romance— Small Town Romance— Pastry Chef X K9 TrainerTrigger & Content Warnings include: explicit language, sexually explicit themes and content, mentions and scenes of domestic abuse, violence, pregnancy, PTSD (related to military service), anxiety & panic attacks.Rope the Moon is the second instalment in the Runaway Ranch series by author Ava Hunter. Dakota was the good girl who played by the rules, except when it came to Davis Montgomery. What was supposed to be a summer fling turned into so much more... but when summer ended and he didn’t ask her to stay, Dakota took it as a sign to leave her small town and chase her childhood dreams. What a mistake that turned out to be. Years later, Dakota is back and on the run from the flames of her past. In need of a fresh start which doesn't prove to be easy after being branded the town outcast, all Dakota needs is a safe place to lay low where she can hide her bruises and the baby she is carrying. When Davis finds out what happened to her, his protective nature comes out and he does the unthinkable. He moves Dakota onto Runaway Ranch and is determined to keep her and her unborn baby safe. He says he’ll do everything he can to help her back on het feet, but what Dakota never expected was for the long buried feelings and scorching attraction between them to come back even stronger. One night, the embers of their past are rekindled and Dakota remembers all the reasons why she loved Davis for so long. Why she never stopped loving him. That one spark gives Dakota and Davis back their second chance at love, but second chances don’t come easy. Especially when the shadow from her past is lurking, and ready to take back what’s his...It's safe to say that I loved this one just as equally as I loved Charlie and Ruby's story in Tame the Heart. I'm somebody that is unafraid to admit that I adore a solid pregnancy trope when done right and feels fitting to the story. Make it a story where the expectant mother has escaped horrible and unsafe circumstances and goes on to find safety with the MMC who accepts her baby as his own... double swoon. Love. Davis and Dakota's story was as equally heart-warming as it was heart-wrenching. The pining and innate sense of safety and home was what immediately pulled me into the story, and being surrounded by the Montgomery family throughout the duration of the plot makes Rope the Moon an unmissable TBR addition for small-town Contemporary Romance lovers.I really felt for Dakota as a character as we follow her moments of bravery and resilience in the aftermath of an abusive relationship. Yet, this doesn't mean that she is unshakeable . We witness Dakota undergo moments of panic and terror as a result of her traumatic experience as a survivor of domestic abuse at the hands of her ex, however her ability to pick herself back up solidifies Dakota as a formidable character that is not to be misjudged. Her inability to connect with her unborn baby during the early stages of pregnancy is a real life struggle that many have or will face, and I really appreciated this plot being included as this is an entirely normal part of parenthood that I don't feel is often discussed enough. There is something truly special about being introduced to a character during their lowest point in life and getting to watch them rediscover themselves and their love for life. I felt genuine pride for Dakota's character growth from beginning to end, and seeing Davis and the Montgomery family stick by her side in support was everything.I'm so happy that we got Davis's story! His role in Tame the Heart portrayed him as the surly and mysterious older brother and I've been excited to learn more about him. Davis's love and loyalty for his family are unparalleled and is something we see highlighted by his actions. What we learn about his role in the military and the decisions he made to be present for his family truly broke my heart. This man has been through a lot, and I'm so happy to see him receive his well-deserved happily ever after. As a man not big on words, Davis's love language is without a doubt acts of service and I loved seeing this implemented onto his budding second-chance relationship with Dakota. This man literally downloaded a pregnancy app on his phone without her knowledge so that he could better keep track of her pregnancy and have available resources on his to support her. Are you kidding me? The thoughtfulness of this man alongside his dirty mouth... yes please. Can I order a Davis on Amazon like he ordered all of those baby supplies for Dakota? It was low-key hilarious to follow Davis and Dakota are they desperately tried (and failed) to ignore their resurged attraction towards one another. It was a losing battle from this start, and the love and acceptance that they share is what makes their story so special. Davis was definitely overbearing at times when it came to Dakota's safety, however I was glad to see that he listened to her and did his best to ensure she safe and also comfortable. Despite their initial connection being pre-established, I loved that we follow Dakota and Davis on their journey to rediscover one-another as grown adults. Their relationship progression is my favourite of the series, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for the Runaway Ranch series.

Davis and Dakota are perfect
Morally grey cowboy? CheckPregnant girl on the run? Double checkThese Montgomery men are something else. The banter between them is just perfection. An ex-military man who steps up for the girl he once loved but let go when she returns—pregnant with another man’s baby?! SHEER perfection. The way I loved this story. Davis and Dakota were end game. He knew it. She knew it. But the angst, the pining, and the secrets were just so perfect.I also loved the suspense plot throughout this story. It was there but just at the back of your mind, lingering and waiting for its moment.

Book Review
Rope the Moon is the second book in the Runaway Ranch series... and let's just say I would run straight into Davis Montgomery's arms if I could! Davis is the oldest of his brothers, so of course he feels responsible for them. And his dogs. And the ranch. And the girl he is still in love with even after six years. So when her father asks Davis to go and get her, let's just say he takes his responsibilities very seriously. Although some call her a runner, Dakota has always been chasing her dreams. These dreams led her away from her hometown, and away from Davis. But when she flees her boyfriend and bakery, she runs straight back to where she feels the safest: Davis's Montgomery's arms.I rated this story 5/5 stars! Davis Montgomery is the most protective fictional man I have read so far, and that is not a compliant. His broody attitude drew me in when I read Tame the Heart, and I just knew I would love him in his own story. Ava Hunter DID NOT disappoint! I felt like I got the perfect glance into Davis's head when it came to just how much responsibility he assumed; the man was carrying the weight of the world... then some. He absolutely adored Dakota and it showed so much in his actions and words. Dakota was such a WOMAN of a character. I felt as though I was right beside her going through every emotion. She was strong, brave, kind-hearted, stubborn, feisty, compassionate... basically everything I would want in a female character. Her story was an incredible one that shows the true strength of a woman. Overall, this book is a MUST READ and should instantly be moved to the top of your TBR list!Tropes:- cowboy x ex-marine- second chance- pregnant runaway fmc- small town- close proximity- dual povHuge thank you to Ava Hunter and ValentinePR for giving me a chance to read this story!

Finally I'm back to Runaway Ranch! 🤠⭐️
🌙 My review of Rope The Moon by @avahunter 🌠⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 • She's pregnant, but it isn't his 🎀 • Second chance 🌷 • Small town romance 🦢 • "Touch her and you die" vibes 🦋 • Found family 🤍This second-chance romance was executed flawlessly! A swoon worthy protective marine and the girl that got away all those years ago who needs his help, what could go wrong? 🐚When I heard Ava Hunter was coming out with a sequel to Tame The Heart, I thought there was no way it'd be better than the first. I am very happy to announce I was wrong! This was just the right amount of angsty "will they or won't they" and sweetness to really make my heart race. If you're searching for a second chance romance, this is a perfect one to start with! 💌Stuck in an abusive relationship and having just found out she's pregnant, Dakota has had enough. She goes back to her hometown with the help of her secret ex-fling from six years ago.. turns out the sparks never left. 🌺The cowboy army man who's still pining for the girl he let go, when she finally comes back to town and he finds out she's pregnant.. but it's not his. Will he finally own up to his feelings and tell her? Or is it too late for their happily ever after? (Of course it isn't! This is Ava Hunter we're talking about, HEA guaranteed!!) 🌻

🧁 Davis & Dakota 🧁
Ava's writing is pure magic – she makes you instantly fall in love with her characters and her writing. I missed Runaway Ranch so much and was happy to be back. Ever since Charlie and Ruby’s book, I have been curious which Montgomery's brother will get his book. Once I heard that Davis would be it – I got so excited! Both characters were fantastic and I loved watching them stand by each other through thick and thin. They were so protective, strong, and such a dynamic duo.Davis is protective, brooding, and so extremely loving to those he cares about. I adored how much he and his brothers cared so much about Ruby. Ava's ability to write a pregnancy trope where the baby is not his and makes it so insanely wholesome, real, and touching is astonishing to me.Dakota was fierce, strong-willed, determined, and struggled with certain aspects of her life like a real person, which was refreshing to read characters where everything isn't so perfect at the beginning. I admired her for wanting to be independent she was the perfect counterpart to Davis. For me, it’s the way he shows her love through acts of service. Him getting a tracking device to put on her dog tags - his - that she wears with a panic button. Or how he downloads a baby app on his phone to monitor its growth and learn. He also starts buying baking supplies for the ranch's professional kitchen so she'll want to bake again. Davis was so protective of Dakota and her baby - he didn’t hesitate once to love her baby as his own You could just feel how much they still cared and loved each other, even if they felt like they couldn't live it out anymore - now that Dakota was starting over.Aside from the relationship, this book was FULL of character and relationship development within their families. Dakota leaving her family and losing contact with them was a real strain on her and her sister. The change in their relationship from the beginning of the book to the end was fantastic. The Montgomery boys are the definition of broody and grumpy – but they care deeply about their family and protect each other. If one of them needs them, they drop everything to protect their family. I’m so in love with them all 🥹I cannot wait for the rest of this series! I’ve fallen in love with the Runaway Ranch Series and the Montgomery boys – I can’t wait for their stories. Especially Wyatt and Fallon’s story is the one I’m the most excited about🤭🩷

Loved this second chance romance
This book is the second book in the Runaway Ranch series, following Tame the Heart.Dakota was such a strong character who had to move on from her traumatic experiences and try to find way to make a life for herself and her unborn baby, while still protecting them from the threat presented by her ex. Dakota, when in a tough situation, showed just how strong she was.Davis was a great male character who, like Dakota, had a traumatic past, and it was still with him in the present. Despite this, he was so protective of the people around him, especially Dakota, who he had a connection with and was determined to help her heal and restore normalcy to her life, especially when she had am unborn baby to protect and bring into the world. The book was a brilliant addition to this series, and I look forward to more books written by Ava.
