I've never used the treads before for the stairs, so I was taking a gamble.When they arrived, I was impressed with the pile of the tread. Nice and thick and soft. It was easy to put them on.I've had them on for about 3 months, and am happy to say that they haven't slipped at all. The carpet is still fluffy and feels good. We don't walk on the carpet with our shoes. I would suggest wearing a pair of flip flops or slippers that haven't been used outside. It really keeps them clean.In conclusion-- they exceed my expectations, they stay put, and vacuuming often keeps them clean and looking new.

We needed a solution to help our 12 year old dog go down the stairs by himself - he kept getting stuck upstairs because he was too nervous to go down (the wood was admittedly slick). I really really really didn’t want to put down anything permanent because the wood is beautiful, and also didn’t want something that would be an eyesore. These work great. They adhere securely (we even vacuum them on the stairs), are super soft on the feet, and are probably the best looking non-permanent option. First pack had some damaged pieces and the company very quickly sent replacements. Highly recommend.

Just bought this about a week ago. I had slipped on my laminate flooring and needed some traction for walking down. I looked on line and saw the reviews and this stair mat fit my stairs (I have bull nose stairs).Pleasantly surprised by the grip. I was hesitant at first with putting in on the steps of my stairwell but it did not slip and the mat has not shifted. It stays in place. The color looked a lot better when it was on my stairs.The price was fair and reasonable.4 stars because I do not know how it would hold up after being washed. Some of the reviews mentioned that these mats lose their "stickness". Will see what happens but so far so good.

One of our greyhounds is terrified of the stairs and she’s been leaping off the 2nd or 3rd step to get down. We have been searching for over 2 years to find something that wouldn’t slip around and we weren’t constantly adjusting them. THESE STICK!! Yet they’re easy to remove if you want to clean underneath. Easy to install, incredible plush underfoot and the greyhound trots right on down the stairs!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

We moved into a 2-story house with three super senior dogs. They had a really hard time going up and down the stairs when it was just hardwood. Although I was hesitant to get anything for the stairs due to aesthetics, I am so glad we got these. They are plush and feel very good under feet. The dogs don’t slip down the stairs anymore and the cats are always sleeping on the soft surface. They clean easily with a vacuum and are easily removable. There is no adhesive but a grippy surface on the bottom to hold them in place, which works very well. Overall, these are a knee saver for my dogs!

These are fantastic, easy to install and unbelievable soft to walk on. We don't wear are shoes in the house, so stepping on these feels awesome on your feet. You have to make sure your steps are very clean and dust free to install, it's a breeze then. I'll write another review in a month from now to see how they hold up.

These bull nosed stair treads soften the look and feel on the stairs heading up to the bedrooms. I have an old house so the stairs are a short width. These treads were just a little big so I had difficulty securing the carpet on the lip of the stair. The adhesion isn't strong enough for it to hold unless it sits directly on the wood stair. I am eventually going to need to staple the bullnose to the stair for security. However, I haven't done it yet and the treads haven't moved and are staying in place. I was surprised since some reviewers shared that they had difficulty removing the plastic from the adhesion-I didn't have this problem. The adhesion didn't feel very sticky to me and I was concerned, but the concern proved to be without merit since after a month everything is still in place. I will say this, though-The carpet is very soft, I like it, but it causes the surface to be a little slippery if you are wearing shoes.

These carpet stair treads are plush and look great however they do not stick at all. I purchased carpet tape to secure them to the stairs. It’s definitely false advertising because on the label it says you don’t need to add taps.
