Soundstream ST3.1000D Stealth Series 1000W Class D 3 Channel Amplifier

I installed this in my Tj wrangler. To power the 2 front speakers and my sub in the center consul worked great.

I give this one 4 stars vs the 3 stars I gave the 4 channel 1000 watt amp. Although both of these amps will not go under 4ohm without freaking out, understanding that limit they do a decent job. The 2 front channels have a good crossover on them, and on a set of 3.5's this amp will make them scream for mercy. I expect a realistic value of about 50-60 watts RMS no where near the rated but still when there is no audio input these amps are silent to my ears which is so good. I hate a noise amp. The subwoofer channel I expect Im getting a solid 200 watts off of, again 4 ohms as a 2 ohm at half power will toss into protection. A single 4ohm 12 with the right rms level in the right box is buttery smooth. Although I cant pinpoint where Im losing some low end, everything south of the 40's gets odd. I dont know if its the build in crossover or just the amp. For what its worth the amp does a good job.

I bought this amp to run a system on my golf cart. It consisted of 6- coaxial 5.25" speakers (3 speakers per channel wired in series) and a new polk audio 12" sub. I could not run the subwoofer at 2ohm without the amp going into protection. I wired the sub to be 8 ohm, and everything worked, but lost most of the amp power output. If the amp had ran 2 ohm out of the sub channel, I would still have it. But I needed more power. This amp would probably work just fine on a utv or even a small boat. Driving a low wattage 4 ohm sub, and some speakers wired at 4 ohm or higher.

I didn't get to hear the quality cuz all the channels did not work...

Installed, tuned,then after 4 months it stop. Had bench tested,fried I guess….warranty expired….never buying sound stream again. INstalled it in my garage queen car so its rarely driven….what a piece of junk…

The wire harness wasn't the greatest I had to modify it some in order for it to continue working

just installed it on my motorcycle.... powerful, sounds good, the small form factor is super nice. I do not use the sub speaker output since it is a bike... I really like the hi pass filter adjustment. price is reasonable, we ll see if it last. I would recommend...
