These are brilliant little WiFi relays which can be fitted into existing back boxes behind light switches- need at least a 25mm depth box. Wiring is straightforward as long as there is a neutral (blue wire) in the box. Setting up is easy using the Shelly app; control of the relay can then be done using Alexa.

These relays have been a great addition to our growing smart home. Initially went down a well known smart bulb route but that left us tied in to the brand (and their cost) and having to replace failed bulbs after a few years. These relays were easy enough to install for someone who is competent with basic home electrics. They mean we can continue to use our existing light fixtures and bulbs. The Shelly mini is small enough to install in the ceiling rose if the light fixture or ideally if you have a neutral at the switch, then to put behind there. Quick to set up, lots of configuration options including viewing power consumption. If you’re a home assistant user then they integrate easily there too which has enabled me to then use with Apple HomeKit. Plan to buy a lot more of these for other lights around the house!

I bought these to see if they would be useful for operating some trace heating circuits in our farm yard, so far Ive only wired in a small bedside light to see how well they work and im impressed! They are so small for what they do and would easily fit in behind a standard light switch or similar. The android app works well and it was easy to pair up and configure for our network. Likely to be buying more of these as I can see uses allover the yard for them. A**

Bought the 2-pack back in April to control the intake and extraction fans in my aviary through Google Home. They’ve been excellent – reliable, responsive and easy enough to set up once you’ve got them wired in. The power monitoring is a nice bonus, but for me the main win is how seamlessly they work with automation. Fans kick in and out exactly when they should, no delays or dropouts, and I don’t have to think about it. For such small devices they pack a punch. If you need smart control without the faff of a separate hub, these do the job brilliantly. I’ll be grabbing more for other parts of the setup.

Small enough to fit into most appliances, the shallowest of backbox, and can fit a couple in most normal ones. Could probably even fit in a ceiling rose. Easy setup with the app, just wish they supported zigbee. WiFi is easy to use but it has limitations for IoT devices. The screw terminals are rather flimsy, don’t tighten too tight but make sure it’s gripping the solid core. If using stranded beware there’s only a millimetre of plastic between terminals! The relay is pretty noisy considering its size.

Controls my extractor fan in the garage after a rival make failed after 2 years.

I am currently using 2 of these to control our garden lights. Really easy to wire and compact in size. I have them set to turn on after sunset and off at bedtime. Easy to override using the app if you want to. Can be controlled while you are away if required again using the app. I have also fitted several of these for family members. Have been using these for several years now without issue. It’s a great example of fit and forget- the firmware auto upgrades as required too.

Really excellent WiFi switch, easy to set up with many different options easily accessible. I used it with a retractive switch to switch on an outside light for 10 minutes. This could also be initiated via the web (allowing my car to switch on the lights when I arrive home). A really effective low cost solution.

Very small product with easy installation. What I prefer the most is that is compatible with Home Assistant.

Piccolo ma completo: misura consumi e si integra facilmente (anche con Home Assistant). Richiede un minimo di competenze elettriche (suggerisco di contattare un elettricista), ma è tra i migliori della categoria.
