Now that you can use your FSA/HSA, it is possible. Since I used mine, I went with my favorite color rose gold. The color itself is gorgeous but not a true rose gold. It’s more of a true gold. I thought I was getting a bit sick one day and it told me to take it easy so it picked up on the changes within my body. The sleep tracking is what I mainly got the ring for. I have trouble tossing and turning all night and this ring picks up on my sleep cycles. It will give suggestions of when you should go to sleep to get a better night’s rest. It is pretty comfortable to sleep with as well. Doesn’t bother me at all. Choosing the right size of ring is very important. Since our fingers do tend to swell in our sleep and with the weather. I recommend sizing up. I usually wear a size 8 but with the sizing kit, I found I had to size up to a 9. Even when my finger has swelled, it’s not uncomfortable at least for me. I have seen a lot of people being put off on the monthly subscription. Although it would be nice not to have to pay for one, I don’t mind it. I was sleeping 3 to 5 hours a day, no issues with it, except what all the doctors and health reports were telling me. So I decided to investigate myself. The ring is beautiful, fits well, and the titanium is light. I did scratch it a bit when I grab barbells at the gym, so I’d advise to not do that. Everything else, it’s amazing. Four days of battery life per charge, waterproof, and deeply discreet. You will see quite a bit of light in a totally dark space, but that part wasn’t so challenging for me. You will want to pay for the monthly subscription if you want the ring to do anything meaningful. You don’t have to pay, but the basic insights they give you without paying are useless. But the great thing is that you can pay for it with HSA dollars so pre-tax added to your health cost. The insights it had given me have changed the way I sleep and work out. There are lots of reading and blogs, deep dives into your data. Tracking all these metrics overtime is a great way to see what the daily impacts of what you do have on your body. And it’s great to bring to my doctors when I have issues to be able to show them the data directly. But the most important part was that once you see the data for yourself you start changing things without being prompted. Just one example, I have stopped drinking in the evenings because I realize that whenever I drank a beer close to bed time, I had terrible sleep. I was restless, defined as lots of mini wake ups during sleep, and that restless was imperceptible to me (I thought I slept soundly through the night).
