Upon receiving the camera, I had misgivings about the long-term effects the weather would have on the plastic exterior of the camera. Nobody else complained about this concern but I still wasn't happy leaving the camera out in the elements 24/7.Then I discovered this silicon cover on Amazon for under twenty bucks....Looks are truly deceiving. In a casual glance, it looks like I have a small bird house mounted in my tree.The cover slipped over the camera easily and was also very easy to tug into alignment with the lens.Overall - it fits like a glove. (Looks kinda cute too.) It doesn't hinder replacing the battery - I checked.Now have peace-of-mind as winter approaches that I added an extra layer of weatherproofing to protect my investment. DOG GONE....BE AWARE.....I Live in a rainy area and the only camera that the rain seems to collect on the edge of the lens and blur the video is the one with the rubber covering. None of the others are affected as the rain rolls off the lens. But the rubber cover was collecting droplets of rain on an edge. I bought them because they're cute, they fit perfectly, and probably great protection from rain.
