Great Fit, Easy to Use, Good Quality
Easy to use, adjust the belt to fit, then jog! I'm a person whose had 3 sugeries on my left leg and was directed not to jog/run (no high impact). This belt is great and has allowed me to run again! I've used this at least 4 days per week for 30 min to 2 hr per session since I received this. I tried a different brand that one of my friends has, but this brand really holds you upright for proper water jogging position and does not ride up.

Comparing the Active with the Classic
I want to start by saying I resisted buying this. I work out daily for at least an hour including some combination of distance swimming (1.5 miles), cycling, stepper, hiking or walking and hatha yoga. The thought of any kind of water aerobics has never appealed to me. But then I somehow managed to aggravate both my shoulder and knee (tendinitis?) at the same time. Suddenly I was unable to do any of it without pain. A friend at the pool was kind enough to let me try out her AquaJogger Classic and, as fate would have it, there just happened to be an AquaJogger Active in the free bin that day. So I got to use and compare both.Honestly, apart from the elastic belt (which I hear stretches out over time) on the Classic and that it may be all of 1/4" thicker, I really could see no difference, so I purchased the Active because it was about $15 cheaper. So far I've used it twice. I'm 5'9" and weigh 130 lbs. The belt keeps me buoyant, so I'm confused by reviews from people who weigh a lot more than I do and say they can't keep buoyant with the belt. Unless all that extra weight is pure muscle, they should stay afloat better than I do :-)I have the belt on the tightest setting. I haven't had problems with it riding up as others have commented on (I wonder if they have the belt looped through correctly). I did tie a knot on one side to ensure it doesn't slide out of place. The first time I used it, I had my 2 mill Roxy Popsurf wetsuit jacket on which not only kept the belt from sliding up AT ALL, but kept my skin protected. I'm sure a rash guard or even just a plain T-shirt would work. The second time I used it, I had just my open back swim suit on and got a bit of a contact rash from the foam so maybe I'll go back to wearing a shirt or wetsuit top.I was surprised that I got a much better work out than I thought I would doing water jogging and Nordic track laps. It doesn't feel as aerobic as swimming, but it's definitely a good muscle worker. I also liked that because my head and shoulders were out of the water, I didn't lose as much body heat as I sometimes do when I'm lap swimming (the pool I swim in is often chilly - maybe 79 degrees). All in all I'd say it's a nice piece of gear at a fairly decent price (what doesn't have at least a 300% mark-up these days). I recommend it. And, no, I was not paid or compensated in any way for writing this review :-)

This was/is amazing!!
This was/is amazing!!! My mother is 93, very active but is very petite (102 #) and has scoliosis. She has no problem walking around but you coud see the fear in her eyes when getting into the pool and holding onto the railing while walking down the stairs. She didn't want to let go. The belt gave her total confidence and freedom in the pool. She said: Look at me, I can float on my back, do the side stroke and swim like I used to be able to do. Can't say enough about how wonderful it was for her to regain that part of her youth again. She is one happy lady. Thank you!!!

Get in the pool and exercise safely for your health and increased flexibility.
I am on my third aqua jogger. I am not a swimmer, but I put on this belt and feel perfectly safe going into the deep end of the pool and jogging or doing the exercises that come with the belt. I am I my 80's and have worn out my joints. The water feels great and I get the exercise done without further damage to my joints.

Update your swim routine-stop worrying about drowning!
This has really made my morning water workouts so much better! Good quality construction and a minimum of adjusting makes for a comfortable fit. It provides buoyancy and frees me from worrying about staying afloat.Older models had an elastic band but this one came with thick webbing with a click-snap buckle that is easy to use. Adjusting is very simple. One problem is that it rides up while you are using it but I found that using a rash guard (essentially a polyester t-shirt) under it kept it more stable. Now free to focus on exercising, my weight has dropped and I'm more fit than I've ever been.

Thrilled with my Active AquaJogger
I received my AquaJogger today and after reading the Workout Guide (very thorough and informative) that was included, I immediately went to the pool to try it out. First of all, I'm really afraid of water so I made this purchase with a bit of trepidation. I've been suffering with Plantar fasciitis and took up water aerobics since I couldn't do my regular workouts. However, since my feet touch the bottom of the pool, albeit with low impact and while wearing water shoes, my foot was sore afterwards. A friend recommended I purchase a water belt so that I could jog in the water without my feet touching the bottom. I was afraid even though I read all the reviews where customers stated that your head stays above the water, but I know that I could drown just from the fear of drowning. If I can't feel the bottom of the pool with my feet, I panic. And since I'm always alone at the pool, who would save me? Well today I told myself I would take my time to gain confidence, a suggestion I found in the guidebook. I'm very happy to report that this belt works perfectly. I was even able to tread water in only 4.5 ft. In 5 ft I was able to jog but I wasn't comfortable moving too far from the edge so I did a jog in place routine. I'm sure that I'll eventually make it to the 6 ft end, but right now I'm happy with my baby steps. This belt would be a great aid in learning how to swim as well. I highly recommend the AquaJogger for its functionality and comfort.

I love it. It allows me to exercise hands free ...
I don't swim well but I do water aerobics in the deep end of the pool. I first used a "noodle" to keep me from going down which required me to hold it. I saw the aqua jogger at the pool I go to and tried it. I love it. It allows me to exercise hands free without fear of drowning and I'm not the tiniest person! This is great for swimmers and non-swimmers.

Pool depth an important consideration.
I thought i'd be further out of the water than i am with this. You need a 6 foot deep pool to get most benefit from this i suspect - mine is just over 5 feet and it doesn't stop my feet from hitting the floor every step. Maybe this advice needs to be added to the sales promotion

We use these for pool volleyball in the deep end
I specifically bought these for summer pool parties and pool volleyball. We were having issues with the deep end team and flotation. These actually work great for it.

Works great, stays in place
I love using this belt for deep water aerobics. I can feel confident that I will remain stable in the deep water. It even helps me stay on my back while exercising, too.

Great way to exercise in the pool.
I've been enjoying this aquajogger a lot. What a great way to exercise in the pool. I had hip-replacement surgery and I was having a hard time walking even after therapy.
