3 years later, best investment I made for my hair
If I would have known how good my hair would have looked after using this hair dryer, and how fast the drying goes... I would have bought this years ago!!! Seriously! For years, I would spend $30 to $40 on various hair dryers from department stores thinking "there's no way some $80+ hair dryer could work that well!" Then a year would go by, it would lose its "oompf" and I'd buy another. Then one day, 3 or so years ago, I finally got fed up with the frizz and split ends, and asked my hair stylist what brand he would recommend. He gave a couple of names... one of which was "BaByliss." So off to the interwebs I went, and did a lot of comparing and review reading. Days later, I pulled the trigger on the "BaBylissPRO." O-M-Gee! Why didn't I do this sooner?!Before: I would have to blow dry my hair straight, but it would still be frizzy, so I'd have to use a flat iron. The result would be wasted time and LOTS of split ends. Now: I use this and have cut my styling time in half...better yet? Since I don't use a flat iron - No split ends! w00t1I held off on posting a review, because when people post right after they get a product it doesn't always speak to its longevity. The novelty hasn't worn off, and we haven't had a chance to discover the product's problems. Okay, I admit - I got a little busy, but I truly intended to post after owning it for a year. Well, that turned into 3-ish years... however, the dryer is still going strong and works like a champ! If you're thinking about investing in a hair dryer, and taking a step up from your department store purchase, then buy this BaByliss!

I can't believe my hair dryer was the problem
For the longest time, my hair always looked so overwhelmingly damaged and frizzy that I was embarrassed to wear my hair down. I would always tie it up in a ponytail or braid it so people couldn't see how damaged it was. I tried every expensive, professional salon brand shampoo and conditioner I could find, hoping one of them would work. After having no luck, I finally decided that it would be best just to chop all of my hair off so I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore. Coincidentally, I was in the market for a new hair dryer anyway since the old Conair I had was about 20 years old and had the fan on the SIDE of the dryer, which made it easy to constantly have my hair sucked into it and leave me to pry it out. After searching to find a cute, well made hair dryer with the fan on the back, I happened upon the Babyliss Pro. It met all of my criteria: cute, fan in the back, and different heat/speed settings. The dryer also boasted that it could dry faster than other dryers, as well as reduce frizziness and increase shine. I didn't think this could possibly be true since all hair dryers are the same, right? They just blow hot air. Well, I thought I'd at least give it a shot since it has a good reputation. So I ordered it.Ordering this hair dryer has changed my hair completely and I couldn't be happier! After just one blow dry, my hair was rid of frizz and looked healthy and strong. It also cut my drying time by a drastic amount! My hair is long (almost down to my belly button) and it would usually take an hour to dry with my old Conair. With my new Babyliss hair dryer, my hair dries in no time at all! It's super gentle on my hair and feels so much better than my old hair dryer in every way.Another added benefit is that my hair is now incredibly soft. The first day I used it, I kept running my hands through my hair because I couldn't believe how soft it made it feel.I always used to dread drying my hair because it would take so long and feel like my hair was being fried. Now, I can't wait to start drying my hair because I know I'll be done in less than fifteen minutes and my hair will look beautiful afterwards.I can't say enough good things about this hair dryer. It's done amazing things for my hair and I love it.

Awesome, outperforms a more expensive brand.
Full-time graduate student-CheckFull-time professional employee-CheckMommy to a young child-CheckTo say my hair is not at the top of my priority list would be an understatement. My hair routine typically consisted of washing it at night a few times a week, slapping in some leave-in conditioner, and going to bed. This resulted in my thick, medium-long hair being frizzy and a bit unruly. I had finally been considering listening to my hairstylist friend that insisted sleeping on wet hair is nearly a cardinal sin, but I just didn’t want to spend the 45 minutes drying my hair with my $30 Conair. And lord knows I wasn’t about to wake up earlier to shower in the morning than I already had to. Convieniently, my sister was in town visiting and had brought along her bright yellow DryBar blow dryer and offered me to try it out. I started using it 2-3 times a week and was pretty happy with the results. I was able to dry my hair in under 20 minutes and while it wasn’t perfect, it was far better than my previous ‘style’. Right when I had figured out the best combination of hair products, my sister went back home and took her dryer with her (boo). So I went to look at purchasing one for myself, and immediately scoffed and took a hard pass when I saw the $200 price tag. Thus began my brief journey into searching Amazon and the all-mighty internet for some reviews and recommendations on a cheaper alternative. I kept seeing this Babyliss pop up, the baby blue color was familiar as my previously mentioned hairstylist friend uses one of their flat irons. After reading more reviews, I finally ordered it. And let me say, I am glad I didn’t fork over the $200 for the DryBar, because y’all THIS ONE IS BETTER! I promise you, I didn’t think it was possible but it is. It takes me 12-15 minutes to fully dry my hair, and it actually comes out less frizzy than the other dryer. Super shiny, low-frizz, soft to the touch. Simply awesome. The dryer itself is lightweight and has a few options for heat level and speed (I use high heat on the low speed setting). This combined with a paddle brush and I get a smooth, semi-straight style. I’ve used it 3x so far and felt it safe to write a review and recommend it! If you are searching for a great mid-tier dryer, this one fits the bill!
