My best trail shoe
My go-to trail shoe. Light, zero drop, thin soled, and grippy. Highly breathable and comfy for my flat, wide foot. I've been running trails in lone peaks for years. The sole isn't the most durable but for the grip it's well worth it. Bony prominences will wear out the fabric faster so don't be surprised if the mesh tares on that hammer toe or wider toe box. By that time I transition the shoe to a daily walker. Pick up the gators to keep trail debris out. Enjoy your time on the trails

I heart these shoes
I'm wearing them right now! Super comfy and grippy and durable and protective and breathable and suitable and useable and loveable and walkable and runnable. Supports my arches like amazingness. Very lightweight and fit well. Amazing value.

Wide toe box
Awesome. Wide toe box. Comfortable and lightweight. Durability isnt great, but for comfort I trade durability.

Great Shoe. Needs A Minute To Break-in.
These are great shoes - I'm on my fourth pair now. The wide toe box is nice and comfortable. My only complaints are the following: The uppers can be a bit stiff at first which makes them not so comfortable when you first start wearing them. However, once they get broken in they are extremely comfortable. The other issue which others have stated here is parts breaking down - this is also my case where the inside padding on the heals started to get worn out before the rest of the shoe. However, this problem for me isn't isolated to this shoe or brand and is quite common across a number of trail runner's I've owned over the past 30 or so years. If you're on the fence, wear them around town for a while to get them broken in before hitting the trails and I think you'll be happy.

Humane, comfy, good-looking.
I love these shoes. Listen, the world doesn't have to live in extremes. My feet need low-drop, but not barefoot-thin soles. I want my shoes to be lightweight, but not paper-thin. I want them to look ok with shorts or jeans, but not scream beast-mode. These are flippin' awesome. Very comfortable, decent cushioning and decent arch support. I weight 225lbs, I wore them through a summer vacation trip to Washington, SO MUCH walking, and these shoes were comfortable and supportive throughout. After that, they became running shoes, and they've served me for a dozen runs at 3-4 miles each, I have zero complaints. BTW, a few of those were on dirt and gravel, and these shoes performed admirably; good traction, and roots don't hurt. Fit is accurate, I wear 13 in Nike, Vans, Ecco, Bass, and these. Toe box is just a smidge roomy. The only critique I have (8 months into ownership) is that they take stains pretty fast. It's my own fault for wearing them to wash pots and pans... but just a few splatters of dishwashing water, and they're stained forever. Still, I would absolutely recommend these to a friend, and/or buy them again.

I use as daily shoes (also worked on trails)
Love these shoes. Bought this pair because I saw the 8s are discontinued, lone peak 9 is the replacement. I like the color (they did not have this color option in womens) and wanted to get one to put on the shelf for when mine die. Used for daily wear and hiking in Utah with no foot pain. Did take a bit to get used to zero drop, but now other shoes feel weird as I can feel them lifting my heels. I have tried other zero drop shoes, but could feel every rock or bump hitting the bottom of my foot... and wearing through the store on concrete was painful. Thankfully, these shoes are not like that and I can wear all day. I bought a size 7, I have a womens pair in a different color sized 8.5.

Simply the best!
Best shoe I’ve ever owned. These shoes are that good that I’m not sure I will ever go back to the mainstream runners. The zero drop and wide toe box are everything I’ve needed for so long! Thank you ALTRA!!

Cause terrible calf pain
Im an ultra runner, and I've been wearing Altra since 2020 with no issues, including multiple pairs of the Lone Peak series for about 2.5 years. I Ordered these last month and found that they cause severe calf pain. To make sure it was the shoes I reverted to an old pair, the pain began subsiding, and when I tried these again the pain came back. I was able to reproduce this process multiple times. By the time I could be sure it was the shoes, I found out Amazon would not let me return them, and Altra will only give me a 15% discount on shoes from their website, which would still cost more than I paid for these. From a search online I found others beginning to have this same issue with Lone Peak and Altra in general. I'll have to find a new brand now, and I'm completely out the cost of these shoes. I'd avoid if you can!

Quase perfeito

Noszę rozmiar 41 a buty wzięłam w 42 i były dobre.

Also ca. 25 km eingelaufen. Dann 3 Tage 75km Trekkingtour.
