Bought these updated mini Blink cameras to ad to several other older ones I have in the house. Love these, especially with the small spotlight on them. It really helps brighten up a dark room during the night time. The speakers work great and you can actually hold a conversation with them. Picture is outstanding.

The video quality is clear, motion detection is accurate, and the built-in spotlight is a great added feature, especially for nighttime visibility. I also really like the two-way audio it’s clear and responsive. Installation is simple with the plug-in setup, which makes them perfect for renters or anyone who doesn’t want complicated wiring. This 2 pack of Blink indoor cameras is a great deal. The Blink cameras are great security cameras and these ones are a really good deal ($37.99 for the 2 pack at the time of this review). You save money by getting a 2 pack of these cameras versus a single camera. They come in white or black. The Blink app is easy to use and these cameras are super easy to setup. The motion detection works well and right now they are working on a beta feature to detect a person. So far, it's working well. The video quality and night vision work really well for these cameras giving you peace of mind when using these cameras.

We replaced our wireless doorbells with the Blink doorbell cams. We quickly realized that if you're not paying for the subscription, they are useless. There is a HUGE delay between someone pressing the doorbell and it ringing in the house or showing up on the phone. This means by the time you realize the Mailman needs you to sign for a package. he/she has already left and you have to make a trip to the Post Office. Not to mention you need to own your own rare-earth mine to make the lithium batteries you have to buy every 30 days more affordable. We switched back to the Honeywell wireless doorbells! ...and then mounted one of these above and off to the side of each door. The wireless doorbells notify us immediately when someone is at the door when we are home. If we are not at home, the Blink mini 2 has the motion detection which kind of negates the need for a button press anyway. There's still a delay in the notification, but that's less of a big deal if we get the doorbell in real time. AND! NO $$$$ BATTERIES!!!!!!!! Little bit of work to find the best way to supply power to the outside, but it only has to be done once and now we have the motion detection we want without the headaches of the Blink doorbells. The little LED light is a nice bonus as well. Obviously it's no replacement for spotlights, but helps with seeing the keyhole or lighting up a visitor at night for better recognition.

Not knowing much about security cameras, I bought this one because it was well reviewed. Later, I found out that it lacked basic features I thought was included in all security cameras. Apparently, not this one. You can only live view for 5-minutes at a time. Why? Because the footage needs to go to an Amazon server first before it gets beamed back to you, so they want to limit access. Although I doubt Amazon wants to spy on me, I still don't like the idea of having my feed sent to a remote server when it should be on my local wireless network. And get this, without a subscription, you cannot record and live view at the same time. So if someone breaks into your house, you can either see what they're doing or record it, you can't do both. And you have to buy an additional module to do the recording. As far as I can tell, these limitations are in place because Amazon wants you to buy the subscription. I'll admit, I bought these Blink cameras because I was ignorant. Once I did some research, I purchased a Tapo TP-Link instead. The Tapo allows unlimited live view. I can record and live view at the same time. I can even connect the cameras to my Synology NAS and save all the footage there. The Tapo cameras were also cheaper. I can't say anything about longevity at the moment. It could be these Tapo cameras are garbage, and if so, I will give them negative marks in my Tapo review. However, functionality-wise, they are far superior to the Blink cameras. If you don't plan on getting the $3.99 per camera per month subscription to Blink, do yourself a favor and go with a Tapo or Reolink instead.

Picture and sound quality is good. Nighttime motion and quality is very good. Easy to set up and use. You can turn the light off indicating camera is filming but camera still makes a click sound everytime it records. I use it inside but have experimented with pointing it outside through a window, ok for daylight but not nighttime and motion activation is limited when doing so. Easy to pair w hub and attach to WiFi
