Works As Good As Any I Ever Used In My 30 Years Of Welding
Today I took some of this Amplify Tungsten made by ARC ZONE to work with me to see how it is and as far as i can tell it works just fine just as good as any i have used before. I got the Blue 3/32 type and welded some light gauge aluminum then some stainlees steel small pipe fittings mostly just fusing and in my opinion it's good tungsten I had no problems with it.I welded all day with one electrode and still got about 3/4 of a electrode left, it seems to sharpen up good and holds it's point until you stick it in your tig rod puddle. When I go looking for Tungsten online it's usually size 3/32 and the three colors i use the most is blue, red' and purple sometimes gray those are about the only colors i use it just depends on the machine i'm using . When i used to only use the old Miller syncrowave 250's all i ever used was red and green, green was for aluminum and red for everything else but that was before we had all these choiices in colors and inverters wern't invented yet.If your new to Tig welding and your wondering what color of tungsten you should use you should first and see what the maufacture that made the welder recommends then from there just try what they say first and if that works for you then great. But if you really don't think you like that color you can always try others until you find one your the most comfortable with because thats what i basically had to do after welding with just red and green for 25 years with miller syncrowave welders.Overall I would recommend this tungsten and I would recommend blue to anyone that is new to tig welding, experienced welders already know what they want so all just leave it at that. For about the last five years i have tried to keep the cost for a box of tugnsten down to $20.00 dollars or less for size 3/32 but thats getting pretty hard to do and i know the cost is going to keep going up so all probably have to raise it to $25'00 or less real soon but for now i still know one place i can still get it under $20.00 but it takes a week or more to get it so at $24.00 this tungsten is pretty close to what i like to pay and would probably buy it again if needed.Anyway it's good tungsten and i hope maybe this bit of information might help a few of you out. Thanks For Reading

Sharpening Skills: A Tungsten Electrodes to Enhance Beginner TIG Welding
As someone relatively new to the world of TIG welding, finding the right tools can make a significant difference in the learning curve and overall experience. Despite my limited experience, these electrodes have noticeably enhanced my welding practice, especially when paired with my budget-friendly Chinese Andeli TIG welder. One of the standout features of these electrodes is their ability to be sharpened to a very fine point. This precision has been crucial in helping me achieve cleaner, more controlled welds, which is often a challenge for beginners. The sharpness of the electrode directly impacts the stability of the arc and, consequently, the quality of the weld, making this feature particularly beneficial for those still honing their skills. Moreover, the compatibility of these electrodes with my Andeli TIG welder, which is on the more affordable end of the spectrum, is worth noting. It's common to have concerns about how well cheaper welding machines will perform with different consumables, but these electrodes have worked flawlessly. This compatibility is a testament to the versatility and quality of the Arc-Zone Amplify Tungsten Electrodes, making them an excellent choice for hobbyists or beginners who might not have access to high-end welding equipment.

They are indeed radioactive - but don't overreact
These are the original one tungsten fits all solution for TIG welding. Recently, the use of substitutes have been encouraged because thorium is radioactive.I measured these with a Geiger counter, and they are indeed (slightly) radioactive - at about 3 times the background radiation levels in my house. My Geiger counter still considered this level "normal". The good news is that the radiation is alpha waves/particles - some Helium atoms without their electrons. It doesn't penetrate skin, so I wouldn't worry about handing or using these except for using extra caution when grinding the tip so as not to breathe in the dust - and to wash your hands. The dust will probably accumulate in your grinder as well.I have them because they are the old reliable standard, but I will reserve them to use in any cases where lanthanated just isn't working like I want it to.The rods fit perfectly in my 3/32" collet.

Valuable to have on hand.
Arc-Zone Amplify Tungsten Electrode for TIG Welding, 2% Ceriated 3/32" x 7" (Grey, EWCe-2) 10 Pack.My husband does all of the metal fabrication, welding, and repairs on our ranch, so I picked these electrodes up to stock up on our supplies. It’s not very often that we would need to weld the types of alloys that these are rated for, but we live in a remote location, and the trip in to town for anything is time consuming, and expensive. These are a little spendy, but if we needed to do an emergency repair, these could be very valuable to have on hand. I’m pleased with this purchase.

As good as any pure tungsten
I teach shop for a living and ordered these for my class to use. We don't TIG weld often, but it's always good to have extra supplies on hand. I haven't really attempted to weld with these yet, but I did a little test run on some scrap aluminum I have. I sharpened the electrode on a dedicated grinder and went to work. The point balled up almost immediately. I made one short bead which went fine. I expect these will work great for getting my students some hands-on experience.

Worked great for steel
No issues with these (I got the red thoriated electrodes). I'm pretty new to tig welding, but these work fine in my book. A nice, consistent arc when welding mild steel. At first I didn't even bother sharpening the tip, and it still worked pretty well. I only welded for a half hour or so, but consumption of the electrode was negligible.Using a Yeswelder 200a AC/DC welder, pure argon gas. I used about 140a, DC. No issues with fitment.
