I bought the Vive Quad Cane for my wife and it’s been a big help. The four-point base is very stable and gives her a lot more confidence compared to a standard cane. It feels sturdy without being heavy, and the handle is comfortable to use. It was easy to adjust to the right height, and the folding feature makes it convenient to store or take along when needed. Overall, it’s well made and has made walking safer and easier for her. We’re very happy with it.

I needed help putting it together, but simple for my PT lady. It was designed just like my PT requested; the staff is off set (not centered) and will work for right or left handed people.

Can’t switch to left hand because the screw was stripped when I got it and the hex tool was the wrong size to take the screw off. DO NOT BUY THIS!

Too light weight, difficult to adjust the height, even more difficult to change the direction of the handle. The screw to loosen the handle is underneath the cane post. It was too tight for me or my cousin-in-law to remove and he had to take it home to his shop to work on.

The only thing I didn’t like is that when you have to turn the bottom feet around you have to unscrew it and instead of flipping it like some of the canes or but otherwise I really like it

I ordered this cane for my mother to replace a similar aluminum cane that unfortunately broke when she had a vertigo spell and fell on it. It did not cause her fall, but the cane broke when she landed on it. I suppose that could be a positive in the sense that a material that did not bend or break might have done her some damage. This cane has a minor amount of assembly, it comes in two pieces and needs to be adjusted to the right height by depressing a metal button until you reach the correct cut out for the height you want. Then there is another piece that screws over the joint between the two major pieces to make it sturdier. I have some minor arthritis in my hands but did not have difficulty and it went together quickly. I could see where it might be more challenging if hand or finger strength was an issue and then assistance might be needed. There are instructions included and they guide you through finding the correct height for the cane. The cane seemed sturdy but lightweight and felt comfortable in my hand. There are separate instructions for adjusting the handle with the allen key provided. The print on the main instructions was decent but on the allen wrench instructions the print was tiny. I tried adjusting the handle just to see if I could and no luck there. I even removed the bolt they said would be difficult to put back (it wasn't) but the handle and the circular piece before the handle did not budge. I'm not really sure what rotating the grip would achieve, to be honest, but if this is a feature you need then it could be an issue for you. Otherwise the rubber tips provided non-slip stability on the wood floor and I tried it on carpet, cement, and a rock path and it seemed to do fine with the exception that on the rock path I had to be picky about where the foot sat-it needed to be pretty even-before I committed my weight to it. If uneven rocky paths are your normal then something with a smaller base might be more stable, but otherwise I thought it did well on the different surfaces. The cane does stand up by itself so you can leave it by your chair or in a corner and not worry about it sliding it to the floor and out of reach.

This cane is light weight but sturdy. The color (purple) is more attractive than the black… wish they had it in other colors or prints
