We open at least a bottle of champagne a week, maybe more often. I've owned all kinds of stoppers, but this is the only one I truly adore. Indeed, there is NO champagne stopper that will fit ALL necks, unfortunately. You have to own many brands, from skinny necked to thick necked. This pourer, however, fits "most" necks, meaning it is somewhat standard. Do exercise patience when fitting the ring down and closing the pourer tight; you want it to completely seal.We NEVER finish a bottle of champagne in one sitting; and since our bottles often cost $50 or more, the bubbles must be just as fine as the first pour, four days previously. Sometimes I open a bottle just for myself, and enjoy just a few ounces every day. Each pour must be divine as the last.We have owned this model for at least a decade, and pick up an extra one whenever we are placing an order on a site that sells it. We affectionately dub it the Darth Vader Helmet, and have one in the glove compartment of each car.There is only one disadvantage to this model; it creates a helmet that is TALLER than any of the others. To keep it in the refrigerator door, you have to rearrange other things so that the bottle leans slightly. It is well worth the inconvenience, however.

This is my newest obsession and favorite thing, every time I go to grab this to use it for my champagne I get excited, because before I use to have to finish off a bottle the day I opened it until I found this item, now I know that when I use it that I only have to have one glass and then keep it in my fridge for weeks and it still taste just as fresh and good as when I first opened it, it seals very well and is extremely easy to put on and remove for washing when your done, it is still working great after about a year and no complaints, you can tell that it is made very well and very sturdy which I love, most things now days just look cheap and like they would fall apart really fast but not this, and it is easy to use.

Before purchasing this product, I watched a review video. In the video, the stopper inside the product had a ball shaped closer made of metal (probably stainless steel). However, the actual product I received has a plastic stopper. Although this doesn’t make a significant functional difference, there is a disparity in cost and appearance. I cannot measure how well this product prevents the escape of carbon di-oxide, but it seems to maintain a "reasonable level" of sealing ability. Nonetheless, given the many cheaper alternatives available, I would not purchase this product again. There are various stoppers available on the market for sealing sparkling wine. Generally those are of low quality. However, since the sealing function is generally similar among different products, it is advisable to use the cheapest option that has food safety certification. Because this type of product is not meant for long-term use, frequent replacement is recommended. yet frequent replacements result in waste, which is not environmentally friendly. anyway, this is a good product but too big and too high cost considering its build quality.

Attractive, easy to use, & it works!Just need to angle the bottle in the fridge because of the extra height. Make sure to lift the metal part up then gently pull black part up to remove. Other reviewers explain this better.It's delightful to have a glass of fine Champagne (Veuve!) awaiting me. Four days open and still lovely, bubbly, & delicious. I'm sure it would last longer but I haven't been able to!Vive la Champagne!

I’ve had this brand before and loved it, but this time it leaks. After you pour and return the bottle to an upright position, champagne seeps out and runs down the bottle. Not sure what annoys me more, the mess it makes or wasting champagne! Either way it’s not working for me.

Only great things to report from this stopper. It's easy to use, and there's no unexpected "popping off" like other champagne corks. Once it's on and you slip the security ring down, that's it. I adore the silver handle which lets you open the bottle to pour - way less expression of precious bubbles. It's a really great stopper.

I usually love Vacu Vin brand items and they are generally reliable, however this one popped off of the top of my bottle of champagne in the fridge and it was completely secure when I put it on! I fixed it, but ever since it just wont seal up correctly and keep the wine/champagne.

This is my second one. Had to replace another one because a guest broke it. I love that it doubles as a stopper and pourer. Keeps champagne bubbly. I highly recommend. I give these as host gifts. I buy these on Amazon because I can't find it anywhere. Great price, too.Update 2013: Hmm...I thought the original one was damaged by a guest. On my third one and guess what? They ALL leak. As you pour, wine comes out from under the "seal". Makes a mess. I now use them mainly as stoppers and pop them off to pour. Oh, well.
