Not helpful, Quick to Die
It helps minimally in a small space by tossing out some cold air/mist. It is incredibly noisy, but the lights are pretty.I haven’t used it much, but decided to put it in my son’s room today, hoping that over time it would cool off his bedroom to make sleeping more comfortable. It doesn’t work. Flashes the lights a few times and won’t start. It seems to me the fan might be having an issue, though there’s no reason for that or any of this, but can’t be sure because the manual has no troubleshooting instructions. What a ripoff!

I’m shocked, but it really works
This really works and it has a nice big reservoir to it. Usually they make these and they don’t have really big reservoir so you’re constantly filling it back up and this one is not like that. It has a timer and the longest time is four hours. I wish it was a little longer like eight or 10 hours for the longest mode, but it has three modes, I like that it has a little misting aerosol kind of mist that comes out of this little hole. You can turn it on or off, but it blows the water and like a really really tiny thin mist and it makes it extra cold and it makes it like a little almost like you’ve got a humidifier, but the water comes out much thinner than a humidifier so you really kind of don’t even notice it but it’s nice. I like the colors During the day and I can turn them off because I don’t like a lot of light at night and it’s very quiet from the unit so I have a fan behind it. It’s actually a space heater that has like a fan if you want to turn the heat off, and I use that to boost the distance because I’m kind of far from it or I go to sleep, but it’s really a great unit and for the price. It’s really unbelievable. I have one of those tiny cube ones when they first came out and those run out of water fast and they hardly make a difference. This actually does make a difference. It wouldn’t cool off a whole room I wouldn’t say but if you blow it right at you, I’m in a room where the air condition doesn’t really reach this room because it’s far from the air condition unit, so the duct vents are far From where they come from the air doesn’t travel to the room I sleep in so this really is perfect. I use it to blow right where I’m sleeping and it does a perfect job. I’m actually gonna buy another one for my boat.

Doesn't work very efficiently
I just got my unit today and will be returning it. It does not reach 10 feet or even 6 feet like it says. You have to be really, super close to it feel anything. To me it is a regular fan. Plus the water is leaking out of the water area. It doesn't cool the room like Artic Chill. I had one of those last summer, but it was very flimsy and cheaply made.

Read this before purchase, for your own sake
The reviews on here are suspect. It's okay. Nothing more. 50°, that is a bold first misdirection. It does pump cool air out more so than a fan normally would. The entire thing is just brittle plastic. If this gets dropped onto anything it is done for. Honestly, with what I just said previously, for me, the absolute worst sin of this product, is that it gives you a cord, but no charge block. Companies that do this are trying to skim money off of you the best they can. If somebody sells you a product that doesn't come with a block, they're not a solid company. Just opinions though.***Update- One week later. Buttons on the fan have become difficult to work. It's just misting out water and causing me migraines. I can't in anyway abide by this product. The fan is ridiculously weak. Room still sweltering. Total lemon

The misting is very inconsistent.
When the water mist is coming out strong, it does a great job of cooling me down at my desk. I work from home in the desert and try to keep the AC as high as possible to save money during the summers. The first couple weeks were great! So much so that I was getting cold sitting at my desk. The last month or so has been another story. Temps have been consistent in the mid to upper 90’s and have the temp in my office at 77. I’m back to sweating as I sit at my desk, and it’s about to get a lot hotter in the next couple weeks. The fan sits 2 feet from me and feel very little relief while running it.On the positives, it is portable, it is not loud at all. I am able to comfortably talk to people and never notice the fan. The light is cool. I set it to my mood, which will probably be in the red when the triple digits hit us in AZ.Also, minor annoyance is the fan will turn on by itself when I turn down the volume on my Roku TV. But it’s so hot normally I welcome it!

Garbage
Only worked a few times. It would shut off randomly, "freeze up" and not allow you to change settings. Complete waste of money. They shouldn't be able to sell these on Amazon.

Works in dry clomate
I bought it for athens greece where it is dr6 similar to southern california. The air blown had a mist that felt cold and it is light and portable. Quiet fan. The price is a little high for a fan with a water area. Plus it uses a USB charger so works across the world with your cell phone charger and consumes little.

Finally some relief
Instant relief from an 85 degree bedroom. The homeowner roommate refuses to set the house A/C to a liveable temperature, it only kicks in above 83 degrees... so I took matters into my own hands. This portable air cooler is instantly cooling. I had a Vornado fan running to circulate the air, but it couldn't lower the temperature more than a few degrees. I had put a down alternative mattress topper on my bed that came with a cooling sheet, and that wasn't enough either. This air cooler finally did the trick. You really can't get around it- when it's hot, you gotta have air conditioning. Especially with small children and dogs. To heck with your energy bill. But if you aren't in control of the home's A/C and don't want friction with your housemates.... Get this! Takes up very little space, very straightforward operation, inexpensive and essential. Why anyone would keep themselves uncomfortable just to save a few bucks in electric just leaves me scratching my head... and this same roommate is okay sleeping at under 60 degrees in winter to avoid turning on the heat. You deserve your comfort in your living space... this cute little air cooler is a wise purchase
