Easy to fix and very well designed!

I struggled to put this up but it was due to my drill rather than this handrail. Once my friend came over with his drill it was on the wall and really sturdy in no time at all. I had been struggling on the stairs a little and this ahs given me a good amount of support without being intrusive.

1: Appearance is ‘tough’.2: Fixing carefully is essential especially if used on outside steps.3: Time will tell.

Just what we needed. Did the job well, sturdy and good quality. Easy to mount to the wall.

Helps so much with walking up and down stairs

A good sturdy handrail with all the required fittings, and a nice "industrial" look to it.Easy to fit with just a few screwholes and wallplugs required, can be fitted at any angle and very strong.Confident that it would take the weight of someone that needed a handrail (e.g. elderly, etc.) but also useful just as a handhold on stairs.A good price for such a handrail, especially as you get into the longer units.

Opening the box, (Amazon box, then cardboard box designed to fit rail & fixings, then each separate item thoroughly enveloped in bubble-wrap. Allow plenty of time for the unwrapping process ! ) I was delighted with what I found. The metal rail felt heavy and sturdy. The smooth black satin finish matches many items I have already in my house. The screws supplied are also black. Retro, Industrial, Classic, Minimalist - some of us love this look, some hate it. Personally, I can't get enough of it.Now I have the hand rail, all I need is a handyman to fix it for me. Until that comes to pass I can't comment on the experience of several previous reviewers, who complained that the black finish was easily chipped during the installation process. All I can do is alert my handyman to this possible vulnerability.I am looking forward to having this handrail to safeguard me going up and down my steep cellar stairs. I don't feel I can comment on the current price, as there are many alternative lengths and the price per metre goes down the more you buy.
