Great solution if you can't or don't want to cut through walls
The product was well packaged, complete, and came with good instructions. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to install, but I am sure you could do it in half the time with a helper.Pros:Easy to installKit includes everything you need (except tools of course)Great value compared to larger vent fansNo cutting through wallsEven included vent block-offs for the winterCons:Amount of air exchanged is limited by the relatively small fans and ventsA bit noisy when in operation (only a con if you are in the garage when they are running)Conclusion - In the end I was torn between 4 or 5 stars. I gave it 5 because even though it won't measure up to a large wall vent system it is much simpler, easier to install, and costs a lot less. It is a great product that does exactly what it claims. It won't magically keep your garage cool when you park a hot car in it on a hot day, but it will dramatically decrease the amount of time it takes to cool back down to ambient temperatures. My garage is now down to "normal" temperatures a few hours after parking. Before it would still be warm when I went out in the morning after sitting all night.Tips - Make sure you pick up a good quality 4 1/2" hole saw for installation, they may be hard to find at the local hardware store. Also get some plastic spray paint to paint the outside covers for a professional looking installation.

Well built and assembled kit that works perfect for my application
I'm actually using this for crawlspace venting. My crawl has no source of heat and my floors were cold, so I cut a small hole in a closet with louvered doors and hooked these motors up to pull heat. My house is about 1500 sqft and they are keeping my crawl at a steady 60 degrees! No more cold floors when its 20 outside!!! I set the thermostat to 60 and they cycle on and off as needed. PERFECT. Kit seems very well built motor casings are metal and the wiring is all heavy gauge for the tiny amount of power they pull. My honest opinion.....these are great well built PC motors which do pull a good bit of air with very little power, however a 2 car garage might be a bit large for them to adequately vent on a super hot day. As for my application, they work perfectly and push a great deal of air around between them. Perfect crawlspace vents!!!

It works
Does just what it says. It cools your garage. With careful installation, you should be pleased.I was somewhat dubious of this product and emailed another reviewer before buying. I'm glad I did. He's a doctor and he reassured me that he liked his, so I went ahead and bought it. Thanks, Doc, although I didn't realize you would bill me just for asking your advice...Anyway, it does just what it says. It cools your garage.Prior to the unit being delivered I monitored the temperature in my garage which has a south facing door and a water heater in one corner. Almost always above 95 degrees. After installation...84 degrees. My overall home cooling bill dropped, I think, because the heat removed from the garage did not transfer up into the "bonus room" above our garage. (next big project is to inspect insulation or lack of between garage ceiling and bonus room floor)Biggest caution I can urge.....I measured for placement of the vents several times. I even used a similar thickness of wooden block temporarily attached to the door to simulate where I would place my upper vents to make sure nothing would scrape or interfere with the garage door movement. After measuring and cutting the first hole, the vent still scraped against my upper garage door weather strip gasket which I had to pare down to allow unrestricted movement. By this time I HAD to install the vent on the other side of the door the same way to preserve symmetry.Do what I did, measure, simulate and then move the hole ANOTHER inch inward and downward just to be safe.Once the first hole is cut, there is no turning back.Kit seems very small when it arrives, but that is because it is packed so efficiently. It is simple to install, directions are great. Templates for marking and cutting holes are good, just make sure you are VERY careful of placement like I mentioned earlier.Fan noise is not bad. Grills on outside of door are a little hard to paint, but are hardly noticed from the street.I will buy this kit for my next garage when I move to my big house in the country.

Not powerful enough for a 2 car garage. Overpriced and ineffective.
First off, the seller HomePlumbing, was great! I received the package very fast. When I realized one fan was dead, they quickly shipped me a replacement without any hassle. However, the manufacturer never replied to any of my inquiries about this product.Unfortunately, this air exchange system isn't very effective. The fans are woefully under powered for a 2 car garage and are rather loud at that. These are basically 120mm fans, like the ones used to cool computer cases. So they just aren't big enough to cool down a garage. My 2 car garage is about 325sq ft and has 9ft ceiling. Even after 2 days of running this thing straight, it barely makes a difference. I'm in Austin TX, and it's summer right now and my garage is still 95F (and I have radiant barrier insulation put up on the doors too). Perhaps it's a little less humid than it would be without the fans, and there is still a little bit of air exchange, so that it's not as stuffy. But really, for the price, I expected much more. For a 2 car garage, they need to supply at least 4 fans, and even then I don't know how effective it would be. They really need to provide larger and more powerful fans. I would have gladly paid more for something that was effective.I'm really disappointed with this system. And now I have 4 holes in my garage door that I can't really do much about. Please save yourself the trouble and maybe get a large exhaust fan installed in a wall or through the attic instead. If you have a 2 car garage with 2 doors, instead of 1 big one, you will only be able to install the fans on one of the doors. If you install on 2 separate doors, you will have problems when you open one door.

Keeps my garage from feeling like a pizza oven in the summer
I've had this up for about 3 years now and it runs great. Thermostat works well. Don't expect a miracle in temperature difference, but it keeps my garage at least 5-10 degrees cooler in the brutal summers of Arizona. It also helps vent out any chemical fumes from items stored in your garage and keeps the air moving. If you don't have vents anywhere in your garage, consider this product. It was my least expensive option and I'm happy with the results. I've been happy with it. Before you cut your holes measure, measure, measure. My only complaint was that the vent covers for the fan covers required me to use my Dremil tool to get it to fully seat flush against the garage. Minor and easy correction. No issue with the lower vents.

Install is time consuming and you must be comfortable cutting holes in door
Avoid Unless You Are Willing To Correct Defective Components Your Dime06/02/2017Pros:It works.Cons:Install is time consuming and you must be comfortable cutting holes in door, wall, or ceiling.I had to replace both fans as they were extremely noisy. Rather than just replace the fans, Seller wanted me to tear the whole thing out and send it back. I bought quality fans for 30 bucks out of my pocket. I bought elsewhere. Had I bought from Amazon I'd still have my 30 bucks.Other Thoughts:I mounted the fans in my garage ceiling to avoid the whole retractable power cord connected to the door scheme. Seemed that was begging for trouble.

Great item to rescue our garage and electric bill.
shipped quickly, in great shipping package. Installed and working great. Our garage is never as hot as before in this hot summer with hot car engines inside. We'll save on electricity because we have a fridge in the garage, and our attic is overhead (heating the attic strains our AC more). I haven't seen a comparable product, and other pwered garage vents are more expensive and harder to install.
