Very great build and worth your buck, such a life saver with quilting. I’m very pleased with the quality and results. Magnet is super strong and this can be used on various amounts of fabric thicknesses. The fabric I’m seeing is flannel and it’s very thick and the pressure was perfect to guide my fabric with a perfect edge size stopper. Five stars!!

I wish the magnet was a little stronger but does hold fabric in place.

The first time I used this magnetic seam guide some random unattached spring under the adjustable arm shot out and hit me in the face. Not sure where it went after that. I don't know if the bigger spring that attacked me was supposed to be soldered under the clip of adjustable arm or if it was even supposed to be jammed up in the mechanism at all. The second thing that really bothered me about this product was the weakness of the magnet itself because with the slightest force it falls off my machine. The third and most annoying feature is the arm itself. You cannot adjust the arm to go low enough for rolled hems on thin fabric like 5-8mm habotai silk. Also the arm sticks pretty out pretty far so if you have a machine without more than 1.5" space in front of the metal faceplate, then there's no where to attach the guide without the adjustable arm running into the presser foot. Now i just use it with the arm totally removed. I could be using the two large refrigerator magnets (stacked slightly askew) that I was using before as a seam guide with the same results, except i could mark on a magnet with a water soluble pencil to keep my seam measurements exact.,

This magnetic seam guide feels heavy and has a strong magnet to keep it in place. I've only used it on a sample to test it, but I think it will be easy to use. It feels like it is well made and should last a long time.
