Good product, shame about the difficult instructions
I have had it hiding behind my rear view mirror for about a month; I put a 32 GB card in it - the biggest capacity it supports. The card has been taken out and and the contents watched on my iMac a few times - enough for me to be certain it works properly. It shows the date, time, and GPS location plus speed (the latter is optional). The quality of the recordings is good enough to identify car number plates that come near enough to do harm, at night vision is also fairly good and shows up illuminated number plates near to. Audio is also recorded and clear on playback. In operation I would give it 5 stars, the reason for only four is the instructions which are condensed onto a very large sheet of glossy paper, multi- folded. It makes use of many acronyms and is difficult to follow, indeed I nearly packed it all up and sent it back! However I used email support and was speedily replied to by Sophie, who turned out to be very helpful and able to write in good English. Now it's up and running I'm very happy with it.

Good camera, poor quality.
This is a great camera for the price but the build quality is poor, I’m on my third one in three years so expect it to fail, having said that the first one was replaced no questions asked, the second gave up after the garantie and the third the battery failed, customer services said they would find out about a replacement battery but never got back to me.I’ve decided to give it one more go as it is a good camera.

AM-C60 super HD dash cam
I have always used a particular brand a dash cam and have been happy with as it gives me what i need. I recently bought the Amacam AM-C60 as I had received some good reviews about it and to be fair, it looks similar to what I have been using. From the day a bought it from Amazon, I was kept up to date with the progress of my order. I was even sent the user manual in the form of a PDF file from the support team before I received the camera which was great as it was easier to understand the setting once i received the camera 24 hours after my order. The camera was well packaged as you would expect. The AM-C60 comes with a suction mount to place on the window screen which can be easily adjusted to the correct position and be removed at any time within seconds. It is supplied with ample amount of power cable so it can be easily put around the dashboard tidily and secured with the cable clips which are also supplied. A cigarette lighter usb plug is also in the box which doesn't stick out unlike some other power adapters.Once the camera was installed, the menu is really easy to navigate. The usual menu options consist of the resolution you want to record in but you will probably use the highest resolution just as I did. The highest resolution is HD 1296p (21:9) is also known as super HD or 3K, this setting has 50% more pixels than the usual 1080p (16;9) offered by other manufacturers which immediately makes the AM-C60 stand out from the rest. The generous 160º wide angle fisheye lens captures more to the left and right of the screen too. In all fairness, I was really surprised at the quality of the video on playback of night time driving. I expected the usual fairly dark picture but was amazed on how well it copes with unlit roads and motorways.Back in the menu, there are the options for taking photos in 9 megapixel quality, putting your vehicle registration ID stamp on the screen and date and time stamping. There is a motion detection setting which records when people are near your vehicle when left unattended. G-sensor which will automatically save that file upon impact or sudden harsh braking and the sensor level itself can be adjusted or turned off accordingly. Another useful setting is the “lane departure warning system”, I never really used this feature as it is built in to my vehicle. Another feature is the “Driver Fatigue”, this can be set in one hour intervals and alerts you via an audible alarm. This can be really helpful especially on long trips.A big advantage to the AM-C60 is the built-in GPS logger. This feature stamps on the video your speed and position using satellite and can be accessed with the software which will be put onto your SD card once installed in the camera. It can also be downloaded from the Amacam website as can the user manual if you lose yours.Accessing your files are really easy, you can view your files straight from the camera menu or simply insert your SD card into any computer and simply save them to your hard drive.Overall, I have not been disappointed with this new purchase and would recommend anyone to buy one. If I have one request and it is only a suggestion, is that the model that replaces this one comes with built in wifi.

Great while they work, no support when they go wrong
I did think these were great cameras. The quality is amazing and value for money second to none so I bought one for me and one for my girlfriend's car.Unfortunately mine stopped receiving GPS after a year or so and running new firmware through it didn't help. A week later my girlfriend's then stopped working displaying nothing but a white screen.Amacam customer service are of no help, sent two emails and still heard nothing back despite their Facebook messenger team saying someone was going to get back to me.Good cameras while they last, but don't seem to last. Think I'll be going to nextbase now.

Amacam AM C-60
I bought this little Amacam AM-C60 dash cam a couple of weeks ago, but wanted to try it out first before commenting.Initially I had a couple of very minor problems which were quickly sorted out by the Amacam support team, but what impressed me most was that all my communications with Amacam were dealt with by the same person. They really are customer driven. First class. The date was correct on initial set up, but the time was one hour behind on GMT, so I was told to adjust the time in the Time Zone setting by advancing it by one hour to BST. Obvious really, but I overlooked the simplest solution! I also successfully performed a Firmware update by paying attention to the clear instructions on the Amacam website. The footage taken day and night by this camera is crystal clear, especially on the super HD/3K setting. Number plates are clearly visible on playback, without using zoom. The sound too is excellent, picking up the radio and any conversation you’re having with your passengers. The RegisterViewer5.8exe player included is a Windows program which cannot be used by those of you with an iMac O SX. However, never fear, both QuickTime Player and VLC will play the footage, including displaying GPS co-ordinates, time, date and speed etc. perfectly, and full screen too.One other point with using a dash cam is that not only will it record other road users misdemeanours, but it positively encourages you to drive more carefully by watching your speed primarily, and also the courtesy you extend to other drivers. You don’t want to be hoist by your own petard, should you ever by unfortunate enough to be involved in an incident! A cheery hand gesture, (not the single digit salute), or headlamp flash is most rewarding. Some insurance companies will reduce your premium if you have a dash cam permanently fitted. All in all an excellent and inconspicuous camera, backed up by first rate customer help and advice.
