Hilph Migraine Relief Cap, Adjustable Cold Therapy Head Wrap Ice Pack

I suffer from Trigeminal Neuralgia and these products from Hilph are life savers. I have also bought the narrower ones from the same company. Such a relief to have something cold and comfortable to wear, which stays in place, whether sitting or lying down. This one has more coverage and is great for lying down and resting your eyes. It's completely cooling around the front and sides of the head, and they leave your hands free, unlike ice packs, and are secure. No more hard lumpy ice bags or wet hair. A good company, clear instructions and produced with care. I have bought more since, from Hilph, for other head pain sufferers in my family. We are all so relieved to have them.

I am extremely impressed by this. My old one had a piece you removed and put in the fridge and it felt plasticy and hard. This is so comfy and soft, I tried it on straight out of the box and it was already so cooling and relieving. I liked how they give you a bag to put it in for inside of the fridge to prevent any odours attaching. That was one of the big downsides to my old one too.

I find that this is a really useful product. It has a very good depth, being approx 14cms at the front, and the covering is a soft microfibre-type nylon which constantly feels cool to the touch. The gel inner is a flat, uniform panel that goes right around the head, and what's great is that you can either use it as is (it's already cool to the touch but then it is winter at the moment), or chill it in the freezer/fridge or you can microwave it for 20 seconds to use it as a heat wrap. This increases its uses as you could apply it to anywhere that needs a heat or cold pack really, not just the head. The one minus for me is that the headband itself is kept in place with a pair of large velcro panels. These simply don't extend far enough for smaller head-sizes. My (not small) teenage son uses it to ease his headaches but it's too loose to use without holding in place with a hand. It just about fits me, but only just, and as the gel is (pleasantly) weighty it could do with that extra capacity fastening for security. I've had to knock one star off for that, but it's the only fault in what is essentially a very useful product.
