I used this for live-streaming. The angle downward is great for a view of a whole room with limited space and little movement, just set it high above and use wide angle.I can enable all other features besides center stage when using this, which is great cause I can have my iPhone also doing Portrait and Studio Light.It works in every app I’ve tried for live-streaming, and generally it seems if you can “tap to focus” at least, the app will likely work. It seemingly uses a proprietary Bluetooth connection to complete the setup.Lastly, I suspect the device is somewhat fragile as there’s instructions on how to move the device and how to handle it generally. These are worth your overview as they’re easy to accidentally attempt even afterwards, such as, wanting to manually turn the camera or stop it with your hand.I truly hope a software update to the iPhone will allow for AI-enabled hand controllers for controlling this with gestures, otherwise, the button on front serves at both on/off and the “pause” for tracking.Want I wanna see next, without a revision that adds additional cameras, is the ability to remotely control the device. Maybe also a Panorama Mode, or “constant 360” mode for talking while walking around the camera at a consistent rate.That being said, for $165 after discount, the price even at retail is hard to beat other gimbals and their included apps. I would expect this to be priced at $120-$99 for a sale, and would suggest your get multiple at that price for a professional multi-camera setup on a minimal budget (assuming friends with iPhones).

There are slight malfunctions that I don’t really like with this but other than that, it’s amazing. I just kind of wish it actually did charge it saying they charge it and it just goes a little weird like it’s kinda lacks a little bit. I don’t know why but maybe it’s Apple maybe it’s just machinery, but four stars

I found this on YouTube when looking for an option outside of the iPad feature known as center stage. This works with my iPhone 12 and syncs up easy. Definitely gives a good appearance that you have another person capturing your video. It does not, however, track you if you use time lapse video which sucks since I do that often for quick story creation. But overall this unit is awesome and easy to set up. Recommend getting a budget tripod and a magnetic phone case.

Setup was easy after charging. The unit functions as advertised, however it does NOT charge my 13 Pro Max. So now I basically have a MagSafe stand that swivels. I may just return it and get a regular MagSafe stand, that charges the phone.

The first thing you need to check is compatibility before you buy this. If you have an older iPhone it doesn’t work. But if you’re not like me and actually upgrade your phone routinely you won’t have a problem. iPhone 12 and above. Ines upgrading anyway so not a big deal.Once I had a phone that was compatible it could not possibly be easier to set up. You literally hold you phone on the base for a second then you get a pop up asking to sync your phone. Say yes and that’s it.Very sturdy unit, the charger works fast and the magnet is good also. The face tracking is super cool if you’ve never used it. It rotates 360° and even when you are somewhat far from the unit it tracks you. Very handy for FaceTime, Teams meetings, and any other face to face application you might have through your phone.

You're not going to use it as much as you think. Magnet is only strong enough to barely hold the phone. It is not smooth. I don't even turn it on anymore. I wasted my money.
