Posture Corrector for Women & Men, Back Shoulder Support Brace

Read a lot of positive reviews online and decided to give it a try for my teenage daughter, who tends to slouch. The sizing was easy to adjust — we went with the small, and it fits her comfortably without feeling too tight or restrictive. She can wear it over or under a shirt without it being too bulky. What stood out is the metal support that runs from the waist all the way up to the shoulder area — it gives real structure and gently pulls the shoulders back instead of just cinching straps, which seems like a smarter design than some of the cheaper correctors we looked at. She says it’s noticeable but not uncomfortable once adjusted properly. We’re planning to have her wear it consistently and will come back and update this review in about six months once we see how much it actually helps with her posture long-term.

I ordered a TLSO brace, but shipping was going to take too long, so I ordered this to try in the interim. I suffered a compression fracture of my T5, which healed wrong, causing a deformity and also taking 2" off my anterior height. It's very painful for me to both stand and walk, and often to even sit, so I had to have something. This isn't quite supportive enough for MY injury, but it does help quite a bit and is the most supportive of any other brand of this type that I've tried. Most thoracic fractures are T12 or lower, so my T5 fracture is very uncommon. Thus, I don't think there's anything negative about this brace at all. As I said, it's the best of any brand I've tried, and I think it's because it has two long metal strips going down the back and two shorter ones along the sides, offering much more support. That may make it sound uncomfortable, but it amazingly isn't at all. It also doesn't require someone else to help you put it on after it's been adjusted to your personal fit either, which most rigid TLSO braces do. I think Fit Geno put a lot more thought into the design of this brace than other companies. Most just have thicker material or magnets and neither type was of benefit to me. I had to walk a good distance from street parking on another block to my doctor and PT appointments just a few days ago. Normally, I would've been in terrible pain before even getting there, but this brace made a huge difference. Normally, I wouldn't be able to sit in a regular chair afterward either because the pain would be so bad that I had to lie down, but my pain was greatly reduced and made it possible to sit without the pain becoming any worse. This brace is pretty decent for me, so it may be perfect for people with different injuries. If your injury is farther down than the T5, since that is not common at all, this may work just fine for you. I'd recommend giving it a shot, as it is much less expensive than the rigid TLSO braces, and much more comfortable, too! This isn't labeled as a TLSO brace, so I'm not trying to say that it is. I'm just saying that it's a pretty good substitute for one, and you may not even require that type of brace, so I would recommend it over any other brands that are labeled to do the same as this one. My injury is very uncommon in its location and not correctable since it healed wrong. If those two things don't apply to you, then save yourself the time and trouble of ordering and having to return the wrong brace and just order this brace, period. Good luck. This is a good back brace It is made with high quality materials and very easy to adjust to your fit preference. You put it on like you would a jacket and then pull the waist part around and secure it with the Velcro edges. There are two other straps that go over your arm area Those are then pulled down and attached by the Velcro to the waist area This causes the straps that go over your arms and back to pull tighter and straighten your posture & is completely adjustable. At first I was confused as to why they say to only wear it for 45 minutes a day but after first use, I got it This brace holds you completely upright and makes it's more difficult to bend over, so it takes some getting used to. But over time your muscle memory builds and your posture becomes straighter. & This brace is also a great option when lifting or carrying medium weight to heavy items. For instance if you water your plants using LG 2 gallon water pitchers or moving furniture ect. I would recommend sizing up though, I think it runs a bit small. Overall I am happy with it and think it's a good product and price!

Every body benefits from proper posture. Thus, this product is one I highly recommend. It would be more correct to call all posture correctors, in general, posture reminders or posture monitors. They are not straitjackets or suits of armor that force or immobilize wearers into proper correct posture. Their purpose is to make it uncomfortable when you stray from your maintaining good posture as a reminder to resume proper posture. However many people have no idea what proper posture entails in the first place. 98% of all people practice less than proper posture. There are many good videos online for your consultation that demonstrate proper posture. Proper posture has enumerable positive benefits and outcomes. Primary would be the lessening or eliminating of everyday common back pain. Other benefits include overall attractiveness for everybody - regardless of gender, body shape, weight, age or physical condition, enhancing breast appearance for women, improving one’s stride, elevating one’s self esteem through improvement of one’s appearance and mobility, and much more. Everyone's body benefits from proper posture. Having said that, this particular model is one I highly recommend. Many posture correctors only address shoulder position, and most if not all of these absolutely DO prove their value as one exercises, lifts weights, does household chores, walks or runs on the treadmill, or sits at a computer desk. However this model goes much further, adding tension adjustments to the shoulder straps, middle back, and abdominal / lower back. Wide straps wrap around the abdomen, which I prefer to pull very tight, are there to remind me to pull your stomach in, a critical aspect of maintaining of proper posture. And for stomach breathers, the wide waist straps pulled tight are a continual reminder to fill your lungs with air when you breathe rather than expanding your abdomen. It also features stiffened stays along the spine for further support, all of which makes it a terrific value among other designs. I notice that at specific times I am most aware of my less than ideal posture, and I wear it during these intervals. They include doing kitchen work, as I cook and prep three meals a day, meaning I spend a good amount of time in the kitchen slouching. Another very productive opportunity is wearing it on my lengthy dog walks. Another is when sitting at my desk typing as I am doing right now. In my case I again prefer pulling the adjustments tight, which in my case while sitting at my desk makes the underarm straps uncomfortable over time. In this scenario I slip a folded sock under each strap to help alleviate that particular discomfort. Some commenters state that the Fit Geno Back Brace Posture Corrector is uncomfortable, because yeah, that’s whole point - to make it uncomfortable for you whenever your body tries to resume slouching. I will edit this review if there are any additions.

This is the best back support for my lumbar section and for pulling back my shoulders. I am comparing this to prescribed custom fitted ones. None have ever fitted me as well as this one nor been as easy to put on. It is very easy to put on by yourself. I keep it loosely adjusted when I put it on over my head. I keep the shoulder adjustments loosely in place on the velcro and it opened in fron. This way I am able to put my arms in by lifting the support high over my head and just letting in slide down my back. Then I am able to reach all adjustments without any help. I am 5 ft. And weigh 170lbs and I ordered the medium and it fits perfectly but if you weigh more I would order the large. I have had it for about 3 weeks and I wear at least 4 hours everyday. It is not recommend to owear it all day because that does not give your muscles a chance to strengthen. Wearing it all day would soon cause your muscles to weaken because they are not working. Even. Though. It is correcting your posture , it raises extremely comfortably. It has helped my posture in a very short time and I can feel when I start to slump and I then straighten up. When I got the posture corrector , I was walking bent over at the waist and I really couldn’t straighten up. This has help to give my muscles what is called muscle memory. When you realize you are slumping and you’strsighten up - that is exactly what the posture corrector is suppose to do- BUILD MUSCLE MEMORY. Since I can now walk straight and my balance is better, I am working hard on trying to hold my shoulder back. That is going to talk longer for me to develop muscles memory in those muscles and I will get there because this posture corrector has all the adjustments to accomplish that. Any very important thing about this posture corrector is extremely comfortable to wear . It is also an excellent item to wear when doing gardening when. Moving and lifting heavy barks of soil and mulch. I do wear it the whole time I am gardening to save my back. am so straight now, I don’t realize it is on. I bought this posture corrector for my mother-in-law, and she really likes it. It provides good support and helps her maintain a better posture throughout the day. It’s comfortable, easy to adjust, and seems to be very good quality. We’re very happy with the purchase!

It is a great product but I ordered it too small for me…. I WISH IT CAME IN LARGER WAIST CIRCUMFERENCE SIZES! I’m 5 foot 2 inches and 193# After a car accident, I tend to lean forward & it helps me to correct that. It seemed comfortable to wear but the Velcro around my belly didn’t fit! I was impressed by the back straightener posture corrector!

I have permanent nerve damage to 8 muscles in my back. And this is amazing. It's a life saver. The only challenge is sizing. Luckily for me, I can fit the small. I tried the medium for times that I want it looser on my stomach. Sitting in my car, it dug into my shoulder blade and armpit. It does not work well the sizing being for height and girth. The sizing is okay when standing. I hugely need something in my car to hold me up against the movement of the car, so I need to be able to sit. But I am so happy I found this product. I just got the type that does not include the stomach and is shorter for when I need my stomach free. I have both.

I initially purchased the wrong size and sent it back, and subsequently ordered a size larger. I'm very tall, so even though the size I ordered was correct according to the sizing chart, the brace just rode too high on my torso and didn't support my lower back. My new order surprisingly arrived the next day. Overall, the quality of the product seems good. I've been using the back brace for over a couple of weeks, increasing my time with the brace every day. I do a lot of computing, both sitting and standing at my desk, and the back brace not only gives me support, but encourages better posture. I've also noticed that my back is more “relaxed” when I go to bed at night, so it seems to be working for me.

Bought after reading positive reviews. Has helped my back with the muscle cramping fatigue I get from my weak and bent Scoliosis~spine, but no~one knows I’m wearing over my tank under layer but under my tops Prompt delivery too

It reminds me to straighten my back when standing. It useless when sitting. And it is very hot and sweaty.
