Yes, it does reduce temperature of car. Used for i20 asta. Spreads well on the whole windscreen. Open and close just like and Umbrella

Size differences and quality of umbrella
It is not fitting swift car hence can't stand stem., can't suite for. Seems like umbrella for big cars only.About quality the frame is very light and bent and about to be broken.Fir the price factor quality is not good.
