Barely acceptable
Well, I was expecting more for the price. Pretty cheaply made, I hate the metal prongs on back you have to bend up, those are just asking to be broken if I change the picture in it again. The plexiglass, like several reviewers pointed out, is not scratched, it has a film on both sides that need to be removed. The way my picture looked against a bland white single color matte almost convinced me to return it, but a different black and white photo I used looked good enough to not bother with a return. It says hard wood, but it is that plastic feeling wood that seems to grow native to Walmart and other places that specialize in made in China crud. The wood is about 1 inch wide and I would say about 5/8" thick.

I returned it, but I WOULDN"T HESITATE to purchase a Craig Frame again.
This is kind of an odd review for me to write, mostly because it's for a product I returned. I think this is the 4th or 5th frame I've purchased from Craig Frames and I have to say, they have some of the most detailed and ACCURATE product descriptions in their Item Listings that I have encountered on Amazon. The size, the type of mat, the stain/paint finish, width of framing material, glass/acrylic used are all spelled out in the product description. I've seen in other reviews for this product that people complain that the product is cheaply made and I really can't agree with that. If you want a cheaply made frame at this at this price, just take a look at what's available at Wally World at this price point and compare the two. I have, and it's absolutely NO contest. The other ones are these snap together flimsy plastic things, with super thin sheets of clear acrylic. When you go to put a picture into them it's like the structural integrity is so finely balanced that the weight added by just the heavier photo stock causes an implosion and the thing folds like bad oragami. These DO NOT DO THAT. The acrylic is thick and rigid, the frame is actual wood (granted it's not high grade, but you're paying under $30 for a poster size frame so, seriously people??), there is actual mounting hardware not a flimsy little tab ring and the "bendable metal" they use to hold in the cardboard backing is actually decent quality. So, why did I send it back?? Cause I ordered one frame and they sent me a 2-pack, and there was a small crack on the edge of the rigid acrylic sheet that spread into the center of the picture and was "spider-webbing" out (which does not happen with thin flimsy acrylic). The acrylic is also covered with a protective barrier on BOTH sides so there is no chance of scratches. The return process was so freakin' easy I was kind of amazed. In 10 years of ordering on Amazon, I have only returned 3 items and I was kind of stunned how easy both Amazon and the seller made the process. So yeah, really decent product for the price point and a no-hassle return that had nothing to do with the product, as it was damaged during shipping. I would totally order again, and probably will in about 3 months when I have to prepare photos for the next event.

I like how they look
End result looks good, can't be beat for the money. Hardest part is probably removing the film coating on both sides of the hard plastic "glass". Mounting the hardware takes a bit of care too, I predrilled the screw holes to prevent possible cracking. The acrylic is not perfectly flat like glass, and bowes slightly. Glossy so lots of reflections. Matt covers .25" of print on all edges.

but still really nice, and did not split when I used the ...
I was worried about other reviews that indicated the plexiglass came scratched. However, my plexiglass came protected with a film on both sides of the plexiglass. I'm wondering if other buyers forgot to remove this film, which did at first glance give the appearance of a scratched plexiglass. The frame itself is thinner that it appears in the pic, but still really nice, and did not split when I used the hardware provided to add the wire backing. Great product for the price, if you can get away with not using glass.

Met expectations
Arrived quickly, exceedingly well packaged and in perfect condition. It is very lightweight; the included hanging hardware could support something considerably heavier. The hanging hardware (D-rings and wire) are installed after the artwork is mounted and secured in the frame, so heads up that you would not be able to remove/replace the art without first cutting the mounting wire and installing new wire.Other reviewers have complained about the need to install the hanging hardware; I specifically sought this out. I dislike teethed tabs that are riveted to the cardboard backing and have to be bent outwards to hang, so I was specifically looking for something like the D-rings and wire assembly on this frame. It allows you to hang either horizontally or vertically, and to mount the D-rings at a height to suit. Much more flexible than preinstalled hardware, and sturdier.

Lightweight
*update*While I still like this product I bought a 3rd “used” frame which arrived with an undisclosed crack in the acrylic. There was not another used option and full price is ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the frame. I didn’t want to return the appropriately priced used frame to purchase a full priced frame so now I have one with a crack. Fortunately, although it’s a large crack, it’s really not very noticeable. The crack does however add to the look of poor quality the frame has.For the sake of transparency I bought this frame used and thought that price was acceptable for the quality of the frame. I would hesitate to buy it at full price. It is very thin, lightweight and obviously it’s plastic instead of glass-ideal for hanging with command hooks or Velcro.

Dollar store quality
This was the worst frame I have ever used. The wood is really flimsy and thin to the point where it moves when you remove the plexiglass. There is no backing apart from the cardboard that is included and the wood boarder is so shiny and cheap it looks like rubber
