This hurt my heart!!
I'm lost for words. My heart hurt so bad for Beth. I was a sobbing mess at points and it was definitely painful reading her story. Then Carter, oh my, what a beautiful, loving, caring soul he is.I'm excited to see where the rest of series goes as that cliffy had me gasping!!Book one is the perfect mix of everything, angst, pain, suspense, care. All the emotions.

A masterpiece !
What an outstanding start of this trilogy I’m speechless.I finished this book with an emotional high. It's not every day I read a book that hits me on such a heart wrenching level like this one just did - it was heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time.My thoughts will not do justice to a book that was more than a book...A must read!

“A Cinderella/ugly duckling modern day romance
Reviewed by Anna on behalf of KFFI was looking forward to reading this author’s work as I have never read any of her books before. The first of a trilogy, this is a story of two interesting but imperfect characters from eminent families.Elizabeth is the only daughter of a wealthy and prominent businessman with political ambitions to the highest office. With her pedigree, you’d think she is the typical princess but is exactly the opposite. In her father’s eyes, she is lacking in qualities that make her the perfect daughter. She has daddy issues and is always striving to get his approval.Carter is a musical prodigy and comes from a loving family background but he has serious issues and has fallen out of grace from the public. He needs to redeem himself and is struggling to win back their trust. The first chapter begins as a flashback to Carter and Beth’s first meeting when the author introduces us to their families. Beth’s father rules the small Texan town of Winsome. She craves for her father’s love but he only sees her as a commodity and a pawn for his quest to achieve political fame. Carter is considered the “odd” one in his famous reality TV family, he is a much-loved member but spirals downhill when he finds out about a secret.Whilst I found the storyline riveting, there is something about Beth that kept me from connecting with her character. She is a naive twenty-one-year-old girl and her bad decisions annoyed the heck out of me. She is definitely not the perfect heroine, but I do hope that in book two she develops that much-needed backbone. The Machiavellian antagonist in this tale is intriguing in such a way that I wonder how the author can make this character possibly even eviler in the follow-up book. Let's wait and see!The attraction between Carter and Beth is undeniable right from the start but the turn of events that happen after their first meeting keeps them apart for most of the book’s timeline. Of course, we are all rooting for these two lovers to reunite and although the plot twist in the last chapter is somewhat predictable, I can’t wait to read the next installment. The characters in this saga are flawed but that doesn’t make their story less fascinating. Thank goodness I don’t have to wait too long for the next one as I am dying to find out how Beth and Carter’s story pans out.

All the angst
Well Dylan Allen just hit me right in the feels with Between now and Forever. I think I experienced just about every emotion possible while reading.I was hooked from the start. Not knowing where this story was going to take me but I’m glad I held on for the ride because this was an epic love story, where you will relate to the characters and the plot. What an emotional rollercoaster!

Amazing - emotional, heartbreaking and love
I’ve read a few books by Allen now and one thing is for certain, she loves to play with your emotions while tearing up your heart. This was a storyline that was filled with angst and I was so addicting, I couldn’t put it down. From the minute Carter and Liz met, their chemistry was insane, you could tell they needed to be together. Their first kiss is one I won’t forget in a while, it gave me the chills, it was raw, sexy and powerful that hinted so much more. This book has so much going on between both families. Beth’s so stern, no real love, very disciplined and sheltered, whereas Carters you could feel the family bond and unity between them.Carter, I just loved him. He was confident, commanding and knew his feeling for Beth, but, he was also broken and hurting and so alone with his thoughts.Beth, this poor girl. I admire her strength. She has went through so much hurt in her life, a life that’s not really hers, always having to do as her father says. There is some heavy scenes and I ached for her, I wished she would have just run away! Her gran is one evil witch! That ending!!! I’m so glad book two isn’t far away, I can’t wait to see what emotional journey we will be on next and to see where the story goes, as for sure, it won’t be straightforward. If you love a thrilling read with twists and turns and a unique story that will put your heart through the ringer, this trilogy will be for you!
