Great chair for bigger people
My husband and I have been buying these chairs for years. The only reason itโs four stars instead of five is that the hydraulic lift doesnโt usually last as long as the rest of the chair. They will send you a new one, but weโve never been able to get the chair back apart to replace it. Also, itโs a bit of a PITA to assemble in the first place. Probably not much that can be done about that, but oh well. If they could figure out a reasonable way to disassemble to replace the hydraulic it would be perfect

Arm rest quality ruins otherwise perfect chair!
I weigh 230-250lbs & have struggled for YEARS with office chairs supposedly rated for 300-350lbs. I like to think I've become an expert at spotting weak points in them. The arms break, the wood seats crack, the backs bend, etc. My last chair looked like it was made of mostly metal. Which it was, but it was a very thin metal. This chair is an entirely different story! The metal arms are very heavy duty feeling, wrap around the back for extra support, & attach to the base with 4 screws on each side instead of the usual 2. The arm rests feel almost like rubber instead of super thin PU leather.1 star loss for a wooden seat/back on a heavy duty chair + PU leather, which I expect to peel. If they end up beating my expectations then I will give it back though.Overall the chair feels like it will last me a very long time, which is something I can not say about most chairs. I will definitely update this review as time goes on. I'm kind of on a vendetta against poor quality chairs that don't last, but will also update even if just to say "still going strong" & give back the star if all is good after a while.Update: After the first 6 months the only issue with the chair is the vent hole on the left arm rest(which I can now confirm is a rubbery material) has cracked & I needed to tape it up to prevent it getting worse. The rest of the chair it still in great condition & the "leather" has held up much better than expected with no peeling or cracking at all! Will update again in another 6 months or so.Update 2: About 10 months in the arm rests are literally falling apart. I've had to wrap the entire pad on each side in tape, which isn't a very good solution either, but is better than having chunks of padding & rubber all over the place. Very disappointed with the quality here compared to the rest of the chair...I'm keeping 4 stars because the frame, seat, & back are easily the best I've ever had in a chair, but the lack of quality in these arm rest pads push that 5th star untouchably far out of reach. What a shame...

Best chair out there for big & tall
If you're big & tall, these are by-far the best chairs. The only one we buy, due to the width of the seat and the overall comfort. Do your own research and you'll see that most chairs are designed for small(er) people when it comes to the actual seat; which is really what matters most.I cannot understand the other reviewers complaining about assembly. They assemble like any other chair you get from any retailer. These are truly a beast of a chair, and we have been buying them for over a decade. No chair even has the measurements to compete. We like to add some random 'arm cushions' but that should be a no-brainer for any chair you get. For big & tall, these are the best bang for your buck in this price range.

Great strong chair.
Great chair, i is pricey but feels secure. Big and spacious.Quality - most parts feel solid, the backrest cloth too flimsy.I had read reviews everywhere before buying this chair and all but one stated that this chair was built wrong, that it took them hours to put it together. The one review I found helpful stated to follow instructions, and so i did all 7 steps of them. Put the chair together by myself in about 40 mins. Not the best looking chair ever, but it feels nice and strong, very comfortable and for someone with wide shoulders I can sit back and be comfortable for hours.4 stars only cause I'm not sure of the overall quality of the cloth, hoping is just on the back where the lumbar support bar screw goes.

... this chair and when it came in it looked like it had gotten in a fight with a gorilla ...
I ordered this chair and when it came in it looked like it had gotten in a fight with a gorilla and pieces were broke. I returned right away and another chair got sent out but when that chair came it had 2 broken wheels and a broken lever for the height adjustment. The chair was still in usable condition this time so I put together and filled out the paper work to have parts to fix shipped to me. That was a week ago and have not heard anything back. As far as the chair itself goes it is a good sturdy chair and works good. (other than height adjustment)

Wow! See 6 mo. update!
This is one fine chair, and perfect for my size. I've put together a number of chairs, and was amazed at how ridiculously easy this one went. And it is very comfortable..UPDATE: Have used for 6 months now, and this chair is still comfortable. I weigh under 350, so the weight should be fine. But, the pneumatic lift doesn't make the grade. I can raise it to full height standing next to it, but as soon as I sit in the chair it sinks all the way down to the bottom. This is not really a defect as such, but poor information for the consumer, and NOT an Amazon problem.. I would imagine this chair is not meant to be sat in for more than a short while each day, and I'm using way more than that. I'm selling this one to a friend, and getting one from Living XL. It's rated at 1,000 pounds and has a screw base lift. It costs a good deal more, but it should last close to forever.

It looked exactly like the chair I needed
I thought I would enjoy sitting in this chair. Unfortunately, the chair was either irreparably damaged (attacked by a forklift), lost, or stolen at the Portland UPS Hub. I came to this conclusion because the tracking information did not extend beyond Portland.
