Q: Will this Remove chalk

Nothing is fool proof, the newer the stain the easier to remove, but this should remove chalk.

Q: Will this help with smoke smell?

It is made to treat stains on the cloth, but I'm unsure about a smoke smell.

Q: We sprayed this on a few spots and it left large rings like water stains but chemical stains. We can't get them out. Anybody got a solution to this?

Many cloth fabrics will do this, especially any in the micro-fiber class. The solution is simple. Never "spot" clean, always dampen the entire surface so there is no "Edge" to leave a ring. Also, if water is to be used, such as in a damp rag, always use distilled or purified water, never tap water.
