Uncle Milton Super Moon In My Room® - Deluxe Light-up Moon Night Light - STEM Learning Toy

Our son (at the time of this review, is 23 months old) was showing interest in the moon and stars at about 18 months. So much so that he would become upset when we couldn't locate the moon in the sky due to the moon's rise time or current cycle. So, Super Moon in My Room to the rescue! The detail and texture of the device is pretty good. Better than I expected in fact. It has multiple modes and even moon landing recordings. It's pretty feature-filled given its reasonably low price. It was super easy to mount on the wall. There are markings on the back to help mount based on your location on Earth (hemisphere, etc.). The remote is good to have since all of the controls are on the back of the moon and are not accessible once mounted on the wall. The color it gives off closely resembles the true color of the moon on a clear night. It's not too warm or unnaturally cool. It is pretty bright on the full moon setting. My son sleeps through the night and doesn't seem to mind the brightness. If anything, it provides a extra light if I have to go in to his room in the middle of the night.A couple issues I have with it are, the buttons on the remote and the lack of a power adapter. First, the remote - Some of the buttons on the remote are large and some are small. They are not labeled well and you have to read the manual to determine what each one does. Not a deal breaker. Just something to be aware of, and if you don't use it often, you may be fumbling your way around the remote.Second, no power adapter - I was disappointed that it didn't come with a power adapter to enable it to remain on all night. I knew before buying it that a power adapter wasn't included, and this is the shortfall of this product, and the reason it is getting 4 stars instead of 5. I had to do research on my own to determine what power adapter to buy and what size input jack to use. Looks great in my sons space theme bedroom. He doesn’t like to sleepIn total darkness and he has a couple night lights throughout his room. We were hoping this would allow us to remove some of the night lights. It doesn’t appear to be that bright but it does add some light and really completes his room decor. Would buy again.

Moon does not work. It will not let me set up the date for programming. Very disappointed I spent the extra money and bought this solar moon.Update:I received a replacement which I had no problem programming and it’s been working well for over 6 months. My grandson loves going to sleep to his moon which automatically turns off at 30 minutes.

was sort of expecting more functions but it was overall cool for my 8 yr old. Can easily program in days for current moon phases. needs three “C” batteries and two “AAA”s. would have been better had it included mounting hardware and perhaps more functions. It does have two sound functions, one is from the original moon landing, which is very cool, and the other, oddly, is nighttime nature sounds. Instruction booklet is not completely intuitive and neither is remote. Overall expected a better product here, frankly but it is a cool nightlight overall.

Perfect size. Wish it stayed on longer. When "full" you can kind of see the seams of the moon sections. Otherwise awesome for kids room.

This has turned out to be the most interesting thing! It was easy to "program" it (enter the date), and then it tracks withthe lunar phases as they change. I keep a Moon Phases website up on my laptop, and it tells me where we are in the lunar cycle every day. I highly recommend this, seems to be sparking a new hobby...

My grandson's bedroom make over. He loved it. I think it is great.

This moon is super cute...the perfect addition to my son’s adventure/mountain themed room. The remote is easy to use and it casts a nice light in the evening.

El producto es muy bueno, aunque la grabación que tiene es muy básica y no dura más de 15 seg.Para que el producto se ponga en la fase lunar correcta se tiene que presionar un botón. Estaría mejor si desde que se encendiera se pusiera en la fase lunar del día.
