This is a pretty neat little sound machine and has a really good assortment of nature sounds. I got this for my mom as a Mother's Day gift along with the Soft-Tones pillow speaker and she really likes them. She is in her 70's and has had a difficult time with insomnia over the past few years. The only nit with this unit is that the buttons are so small which makes it difficult to see with elderly eyes. But mom can manage pretty wells since there's only a few buttons to work with. The timer is really nice. You can set it for 30, 60 or 90 minutes, or just let it run non-stop. The timer also has a backlight, so although the screen is small, you can tell how long you have it set for by the location of the backlight. Some of the sounds aren't the greatest I've ever heard. For example, there were 6 of us sitting around yesterday testing it out and we could not tell which was the train sound and which was the womb sound. They sounded so similar, just with a different rhythm. But overall this is a good value for the amount of sounds you get. The unit is also small enough so as not to take up too much room on your nightstand. Keep in mind that although it comes with a USB charging cable, there is not a power plug, so you'll either need to buy one or plug it into a USB hub. Most of us have the plugs and hubs around nowadays, but an older person may not. Just something to keep in mind.

Really, it's a great little machine and very portable. It holds a charge and can be used untethered for a couple of nights, too. But my biggest complaint is with the little subliminal sounds that come from the fan setting (#4). Because I don't care for the other sounds, I haven't tried those, but both my husband and I noticed little quiet pattern tones that slowly creep into the fan sound. We thought maybe the machine was picking up sounds from other settings and allowing them to infiltrate into the fan sound but they're different every time, so that's not the case. Plus, we switched to the other sounds just to check, and it's not the same. It wasn't enough to keep us awake, but it was aggravating. Thinking there was a malfunction (and out of our return window), we bought another, and sure enough, it did the same thing. Weird. We finally bought a more expensive machine and are very happy. No more creepy pattern tones under the fan sound and we sleep so soundly!

Update: the entire logo has good potential to come off, not just the top of it, and I have not abused this thing in the slightest. Not safe for a baby's crib. Also the shushing noise is our favorite but it's about 12 loud clicks of the button in, which may or may not wake up my half-asleep child.Took me a minute to figure out why there was some extremely sharp metal object in my newborn's bassinet. It's the part of the logo just above the words.This thing is a metal sticker but sharp enough to have easily pierced my finger when I stumbled on it.A very serious issue if you are using around a baby. REMOVE THIS PART OF THE LOGO.I am however still giving this product 4 stars as it is otherwise pretty much perfect.It has many sounds and volume levels including heartbeat type noises and it also is not any kind of a suffocation hazard. Also, the charge seems to last forever

So many different sounds to choose from. The white noise is great for Tinnitus and there are a few "lullaby" that are piano melodies, pretty nice and soothing. The one sound that I was really looking forward to was the camp fire, but it kinda sounds like a camp fire in a fish bowl. Other than that it is a great product. I like the timer 30, 60 or 90 minutes, or no timer at all. Keeps a charge for several days if only used a few hours a night. All around quality is excellent. Volume control has a great range also. I sure wasn't expecting all of the different sounds, even though that's how it was advertised, just couldn't imagine so many for the price, but they really were all there.

What I like: it has several different sounds and some looped music that is calming. It is sleek and you can travel with it easily. There are also timers set for 30-60-90 minutes.What I dont like: it doesn’t get loud enough to drown outside noises. I got it for my dogs and it doesn’t get very loud to suit my purpose for using it. Also, the looped music is short so you get tired of it quickly. If you are just using it for white noise to sleep, I think it would suit your purpose.

This is a very wonderful product .. it's battery life is so long I can't even tell how many hours, it works great have had it for over 2 years now, I bought some other fancy looking noise machines that stopped working in no time and had charging issues, but this product has stood the test of time .I love it so much ...makes me and my babies sleep so so well. I would highly recommend it.

I wasn't so sure about this item at first, but this sound machine is actually really cool. It's got a lot of different sounds to listen to, but my favorites are the sounds of water flowing down a stream, fire crackling, frogs, and crickets chirping. Makes me feel like I'm camping and helps me fall into a nice relaxed sleep. There is white noise, birds singing, thunder storms, beach waves, etc. If you need some background noise to help you sleep or just to sit and relax, I recommend you get this sound machine.

This white noise machine seems very cheaply made. I sometimes have to hit a button a few times before a sound will come on or change. It does get very loud and has nice options for background noise. Overall it is not that impressive but it does do its job after I press the button a few times.

I was impressed by how many sound varieties you are able to choose from with this sound machine. I own a marpac dhom and thought it works it only has one option for white noise and is quite bulky to carry while you are traveling. My sole reason for buying this one was due to its slim size as I will be traveling soon and I don't want to be carrying out bulky technology with me weighing down my backpack. Not only is it slim, it is nice and white too, which means it will look great anywhere. The added sound varieties you could choose from are an added bonus. This is a great white noise machine, I guess anyone is able to utilize this. I am thinking about keeping this product for traveling and the future baby nursery.

Lots of sound options (a few like the ticking clock or the campfire are a bit odd and won’t be used ever), only negatives are that the lowest volume is still pretty loud and can be heard in other rooms, and the lullabies are in a bit short of a repeating loop would be better if they were longer each time before looping back. Customer service was fantastic, contacted me and sent me a replacement unit within 2 weeks for free to see if there was a defect. Same volume level but the offer and service was fantastic, we have grown accustomed to the sound of frogs through the bedrooms and is. Ow quite soothing for everyone!

Every year when I remove my portable AC for the winter, I can't sleep for a whole week because I hear everything in the house. Not this year, my new best friend solved my problem! This white noise machine is perfect, the sound quality is great and it has many different nice nature sounds, lullabies and even one that sounds almost like my AC! The battery last the whole night and a micro usb charger is included. I couldn't leave without it anymore!

Works great. Using it for our toddler and 3 month old’s bedroom. Very easy to transport over the holidays and enjoyed sharing the white noise with them in our sleeping arrangements while away. Seems to be worth the money, especially since the 3 month old seems to be sleeping longer and longer every night.

Just received my baby noise machine in the mail and I love it!  It got tons of music and sounds that I can pick from, soothing my babe to sleep.  The music are very calming and relaxing.  It has volume buttons on the side to adjust to the loudness as well.   The noise machine is also portable which I like! I can bring it out and go travelling with it too. It doesn't take up much luggage space.  Definitely a recommended item for new mommies' wish list.
