Johnson Level & Tool 40-6606 Self-Leveling 360 Degree Line Laser, 4.2", Red, 1 Laser

Was tiling my bathroom so I picked up this laser to help me get the wall tiles straight and level. I don’t know how I would have done the job without it - It made the job so much easier. It put a bright red line across all 4 walls of my bathroom to follow, plus a vertical line I could rotate to where I wanted it.What I didn’t appreciate until I started using it is that unlike a chalk line or pencil line, the laser shows up on top of the tile adhesive so you can always see the line, even after you put your glue down and lay the tile. Doesn’t sound like a big deal but it was great! Brightness was good. I’ll be getting good use out of this laser in the future!

The unit is compact and easy to set up. Too bad the laser light is so dim it basically renders the unit useless for distances more than about 3-5 feet, even in low light conditions. In bright light, the unit would be totally useless.

Haven't gotten to usr itemuch but it was easy to set up and use for a test run. Seems like it will be well worth the money

When it arrived On/off switch did not work. Contacted mfg and they replaced it with one that turns on

After returning my first order due to the plumb laser not working at all... I'm disappointed by it's immediate replacement as well. On this unit, the locking mechanism will tilt the laser orientation by about 15 degrees. Looks like Johnson fired all their QA people over in China.

Works great

This product would have been great for indoor use but is completely useless outdoors with any sunlight. In hindsight I probably should have expected that.
