Here's how to identify your types of metal:
This is a very good product for the money and I'm very happy with my purchase. Please do not get discouraged with the fact that the metals are not labeled. You can easily determine this by yourself with the following method: Copper is the easiest metal to identify due to the color. Aluminum will be the lesser weight of all the metals and is very pliable. Lead will be the heaviest of the metals and is very pliable. Graphite is the thick lighter piece that is encased in plastic ...it looks nothing like the other pieces and is definitely unique. This just leaves the iron and the zinc strips. Grab a magnet off of your refrigerator and whichever one is attracted to it, is the iron. Zinc is not magnetic, and thus, the final one. Hope this helps. 😉

Great set! Confused which sample is which? Read this!
The media could not be loaded. Okay gang:While I agree it is both somewhat odd - as well as a little bit rude - to not label the samples, identifying them should only take a second. See the attached pic/video for help.(TLDW: iron is magnetic. Lead bends by looking at it cross-eyed. Aluminum is notably the lightest, and about half of Zincs weight).I bought this because I was looking for graphite anodes for an electrolysis rust removal bath (it's bubbling happily away right now, which is why graphite is not in the list, though again: if THATS the one you're having trouble with… chemistry might not be in your best interest just yet <3 ).The others provides cover the majority of home electroplating (which is the same process as the rust removal, only backwards) use cases, so for the price? Absolutely outstanding.I bought two sets. Yes, one of my graphites has broken near the middle, but since my first act after observing same was to break the other one in half as well (that I might have an anode for each cardinal direction surrounding the artifact being deoxidized) this didn't trouble me overmuch. So, short of what amounts to a questionable business decision to not label the samples, and which I've established is 20 seconds' work with a sharpie to ameliorate, I'd absolutely recommend this buy to anyone supplying for electrolysis or looking to electroplate. Note the samples are about the dimensions of about half a us dollar bill, and the volume of about 7-10 of em, so you're not going to be able to bronze an elk head (or whatever it is folk to do them) but if you're looking to do minor repairs or add some bling to some hardware, your good to go.I'd totally recommend this to a friend.Hope this helps!

HELP!
The products came in good shape, but no label. We had to start project last night putting them in salt water. I am afraid I labeled them wrong. Copper was easy. Iron was magnetic. There was one that bent easily - labeled as Zinc as it was the heaviest. Is that correct? Aluminum was the light shiny one I believe. Lead was less shiny than Aluminum. Any help is appreciated. This is for science fair project. Or is there a way to test materials to see what they are.

There are no labels although they're pictured on the product
The picture shows labels on each metal, however, there were no labels on mine. I got this for my son's science project. I only needed 3 of the metals but the price was decent so I went for it. I was very disappointed that the graphite was broken and most of the other ones were gross looking. They did their job (after researching which was which) but overall I was not happy and would not purchase again.

Exactly what it says on the tin. (Well, title.)
6 strips, unlabeled. You will need to clean graphite off of them, but other than that, perfect.

It came as advertised. No complaints

No labels or holes
No labels. Had to do research to determine which metal was which. No holes were drilled into the metal and I don’t have the tools to cut them, so they are worthless to me. And since it is the after-Thankgiving shopping rush, Amazon says they won’t be able to deliver ANYTHING to my neighborhood for a solid week.
