Garmin watch
Great product!

Great watch
Bought to replace ageing Apple Watch 4. First impressions it feels lighter, not as premium , and the operation isn’t as slick as the Apple Watch. However after a month I’m finding the Garmin so much more useable, and pleasantly surprised that it still writes data to all my existing fitness apps - was thinking I’d have to stop using Nike running app etc.

Garmin quality!
It was between this and an Apple watch and the power of the battery won through. I have so many friends who bought Apple watches that spend most of the time on the sideboard charging up rather than being worn out and about. This Garmin watch lasts about 10 days between charges and does everything an Apple watch does and more.

Should've gone for the FR255
As someone who has never worn a watch before, this was a bit of an experiment... Choosing it was a nightmare because of Garmin's super confusing lineup.Having had it for a couple of months now I can say I'd probably have chosen the FR255 for the same money. While the OLED screen looks lovely I think the extra features of the FR255 is probably a better choice.

Great watch but flawed by a update which Garmin haven’t updated in months.
I’ve had 3 of these and all 3 have gone back (including replacement direct from Garmin). An update in April I believe moved the HR monitoring to some new algorithm monitoring which has caused (for some) incorrect HR. I would use this and randomly my HR would jump 30-50 in any direction or it just wouldn’t track at all.Virtually impossible to use if want to do zone training.Garmin have acknowledge the issue for some 165s (over 3 months ago) but no sign of a fix. They recommend not updating to the latest version however I tried this and still had issues.

Price seemed too good to be true. It was.
Cost showed £194 today. As I am in the Uk there was an additional £70 + import fee added at check out. Be sure to double check this.

No maps!
Don't be fooled by media articles and reviews suggesting this watch has maps - it doesn't, only breadcrumb trails. Otherwise it's a reasonable outdoor watch, but nothing special and not good value for money.
