Honest and candidly written, Karan's book is a gentle reminder of normalcy in Bollywood. More power to you Karan. Can't wait for your next release.

A feel good ride through some pages of KJ's life.
All through the books it felt like a script written by KJ. It was filled with quick jokes which can crack us up , moments which will make us happy and moments which will make us emotional.

it seems that Karan Johar has revealed many secrets of his life. He has expressed his thoughts in this book than his biography. Karan Johar has written everything from his point of view. I was eager to read about a little girl in Kuch Kuch hota hai, but he has not mentioned a single word about that girl. Overall it is a good book. Many things we should learn from Karan Johar.

A diary or a book? Nevertheless a decent read.
While the content has some good moments, it feels like you are reading somebody's diary. Writing does not flow well and there are also several repetitions. Book could have been 20-30% shorter if edited properly. I do appreciate the author's willingness to share the details that are usually frown upon by the Indian society. This is a good attempt which could have been better if a stronger team of editors edited the book.

An unapologetic unsuitable boy
Looks like Karan wanted to set the record straight with this book which probably made it come across more as a filmfare interview than an autobiography. Nevertheless it's a refreshing read specially the insights he gives on his childhood. The tone of the book itself goes from an anxious storyteller to a straight shooter. But it feels incomplete. Maybe Karan will write the second half of his story in a few decades and complete it.

This autobiography of Karan Johar appears to be very honest. His communication is brilliant.
Karan Johar is articulate and his use of English language is excellent. He is his best critique and has brought forwards his own flaws and shortcomings. He keeps his readers interested and engaged throughout the book. Karan Johar comes out as an intelligent, observant and progressives director. His Koffee with Karan T.V. show shows his progress from a gawky, immature and a fat boy to a sophisticated, slim, clever and witty adult. This book captures your attention and grips you. I highly recommend this book to readers from all walks of life.

A good read
Never loved Karan Johar larger than life movies but this autobiography is just awesome. A good one to read. Once you get into it, you know that there's no lie or show offs... its just his life. I'm born in the same year & day as Karan Johar, only 3 months difference. I know what he's telling about & what he has gone through born in those days. Simple English, no exaggeration, no show offs - nothing. He is what he is & thats what he's written here. I'm not that fond of Celebrity Autobiography. The only autobiography I enjoyed in my life was Nirod C Chowdhury's 'Autobiography of an unknown indian'... but this one is a lighter one & enjoyable one. The end part is a bit pakao, I mean, a bit boring though! Who's interested in SRK, Kajol or Rani's life man!

Unapologetically himself
The book was such a thrill to read. He disclosed so much about his life and his approach towards his work. There are so many learnings from this book, especially people skills and crisis management. I must say after being hooked to Koffee with Karan as my ambient noise during my work, he really knows how to articulate himself so well and is kickass at PR, Marketing & managing people. I have immense respect after watching Jug Jug Jiyo and Rocky Aur Rani Koi Prem Kahaani as they were so closer to reality and his ability to make magnanimous movies. I always look forward to seeing you with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Twinkle Khanna in interviews as your chemistry and honesty is unparallel and is thoroughly entertaining to binge. I also got to know so many aspects of Karan's personal live which I wasn't privy to which also gave so much perspective to what he does.

Great Book, Great Guy
I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. He really opened up and showed how vulnerable he can be which really surprised me. So much of what he says about his feelings rings true with the reader. He is so talented - writing, directing, producing. Now he has the role of father to twins. I'm sure that he will be a very good father and now his mother has grandchildren of her own I wish them all the best.
