Heavy duty, detailed umbrella stand.
These umbrella stands come in a lot of different shapes and sizes with multiple materials that it can be made with so you never seem to know really which is the right one to get. I crossed my fingers when I got this one and I feel like I hit the jackpot. This BACKYARD EXPRESSIONS PATIO · HOME · GARDEN 18 Inch Cast Stone w/Resin Shell Patio Umbrella Base is a really heavy duty, solid umbrella base that is easy to use. It also has decorative designs on it. It's both nice looking and useful. My umbrella slid right in the top of upper pole. They give you the base plus another pole that slides into that. Then there's a big dial that you turn that will tighten your umbrella in there so that it doesn't move around and stays very stable. I think the additional pull ensures that your umbrella is tall enough to go above the table without causing any issue. I like the way it looks and the color.

Pretty good but a little lightweight if you live in a windy area
I do like the look of the stand. It holds our patio umbrella over our table well, but it's a bit light for some of our Oklahoma winds, even with the umbrella folded down.On most days this is not an issue, and maybe its a bit unfair I am only giving this 4 stars because it is a pretty good stand, but a bit more weight would be ideal. On most days it works perfectly and holds our umbrella just fine. Our table is metal but lightweight, so it does not really help the stand keep the umbrella in place, but the stand does a decent job on its own. When it gets too breezy we had to fold down the umbrella, and when we are expecting stronger winds we take the umbrella out of the stand and store it.Overall its a good stand, and for most people it will work without issue. And it does look pretty good. Its well made too. The price is pretty good, so its definitely a recommend for most people.

Exactly what I wanted to hold that outdoor patio umbrella
Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review. Our table has a standard set of holes in it to hold an umbrella but without a weighted base, I was concerned that the table might get flipped over when we have a high wind day. This is exactly what I wanted. It looks nice, but not overly expensive looking. It is nice a heavy but easy enough to move around when I need to move it. The assembly was easy. One bolt with washers and the stem is secured to the base. You will need a wrench to do this though, so if you don't have at least an adjustable wrench/spanner then its probably time to order one or a set. I am completely happy with this one and definitely recommend it.

Does the Job - Holds an Umbrella
This does what I wanted it to do and that is hold a patio umbrella over my chair by the pond. Since it is not under a table I don't think there is enough support to keep an umbrella upright should wind hit, so I bring the umbrella in when I'm not out there. It looks nice, and is prefilled with concrete/sand, so I didn't have that mess to worry with. If I had this under a table, I don't think the umbrella would go anywhere. If you need an umbrella base, this one is pretty good.

Looks like real bronze and holds like it too
I love this stand. It is very well made; the pole connects well and is deeply attached, adding additional strength. The base is solid and heavy, but not so much that it is a struggle to move around. Unless you go up and touch it, the bronze finish looks natural and adds a nice little classical touch to our patio. The price is outstanding. It is hard to find a negative with this stand.

Not heavy enough
This umbrella base looks really nice. The resin finish looks believably like it could be a cast iron or some metal base. It's light enough to move around, but unfortunately, that also means it's light enough not to be able to hold a large umbrella. This will require something much smaller and lighter than my 9f umbrella. That gets easily knocked over even with the umbrella folded in.Maybe if you reinforced it with sandbags (which would ruin how good it looks anyway) or used it in conjunction with a heavy table with an umbrella hole.

Resin Shell Umbrella Stand
This is your classic weighted base umbrella stand, with a nice floral motif resin shell over a cast stone base. I do wish it was a bit heavier so I could be sure it won't topple over, but I will be using it inside of a table base as well so it should hold up. I will just have to make sure I'm taking the umbrella down when heavy winds and storms are forecast. It looks nice when setup, certainly more attractive than the 5 gallon bucket full of rocks I had been using previously.
