I am unable to comment on the items performance as it was purchased as a gift.

This unit is an excellent multimeter/oscilloscope in a single package, but let down by poor 'scope probes and user manual. The display is clear and bright and easy to read at a distance under most lighting conditions - somtimes a problem with unlit monochrome LCDs. The 20mV/div resolution gives a reasonable display including low-level signal noise. My tests with trusted d.c. voltage, current, resistance and capacitance sources show that it is well within its accuracy specs. The multimeter probes seem good quality and robust. I liked it so much that I bought a second one, for use at a different location.However (and the reason for only 4 stars):-(1) The supplied pair of 'scope probes, type "6100", when used on the x10 setting, can only be adjusted to give a very under-compensated to slightly under-compensated display, when used with a square wave test signal. The 'scope input capacitance range specification for these probes is 15pF to 45pF. My existing probes, from my normal bench 'scope, give adjustment from under, to normal, to over compensation, and are specified to work with 'scope inputs "up to 60pF". The unit's manual just gives an input impedance/resistance of 1M ohm, and no capacitance value.(2) The user manual's English section includes many phrases that are difficult to understand. It would have been useful if it had been proof-read by a native english speaker; but the basic information is there, particularly if you re-read it a couple of times whilst pressing the buttons.(3) The temperature probe reading range is listed, but does not specify any associated user-supplied probe type required for this. I tried it with a probe borrowed from another multimeter, believed to be a K-type thermocouple, and this gave a sensible ambient temperature reading. I have not checked it for hot and cold accuracy.

Doesn’t come with a second o scope cable like the slightly more expensive version on this site.Not tried on the car yet but it works on the bench.

A good meter for the money

A farliy easy to use basic scope and multi meter ideal for hobby use, Simple and easy readable screen, even the menus are well made and easy to understand. Would have been nice if it came with a case to keep all leades and meter safe but you can always pick one up separately.

The device is efficient and does what expected from it. It's very easy to use. Easy to move around from place to place.It would have been even more interesting if it came with a bag to move around with it.
