Works just as well as Leslie’s 73 cal hypo shock, but cheaper. I was having a problem trying to get my free chlorine level to even register on my test strips. 2lbs of this shock (mixed in a bucket 1 lb at a time) sky rocketed my free chlorine levels. My pic of the pool is a little cloudy due to the chlorine level being high right now, but I’m sure that will resolve itself over the next few days as the levels come down. It’s been crazy 90 degree hot every day around here for a couple of weeks now. The test strip pic is from today, 2 days after I put the shock in a couple of nights ago. Next week if the fc level is low, I’m going to try 1lb instead of 2, and see what happens with the increase in free chlorine levels. If u want a jolt in your free chlorine levels, this stuff works.

FINALLY! Actual chlorine that works. I was using Leslie’s Pool chlorine and Sam’s Club members mark version (not chlorine) and had so many issues with algae and cloudy water. I finally tried this product and have had crystal clear water all year even through storm season. 73% Cal is where it’s at. I wasted hundreds of dollars and tons of time dealing with algae and cloudy nasty water. This is worth its weight in gold.

This shock works wonderfully in my pool. Keeps my chlorine at a predictable level. I see a huge difference in the quality of this shock compared to what I had been using. I use it for weekly maintenance and haven’t had an algae episode all summer, and it’s been hot. I will continue to purchase the Shock in the future.
