Honda engine is a let-down. I've had mine 18 months and it has broken three times, each time needing a whole new carburettor.Each time the repair has to be approved by Honda, not Mountfield, so the repair place can't just get on and fix it.The nuts holding the handle on keep coming undone with vibration. The 'drive' clutch cable has stretched. The 'grass box full' indicator doesn't work.It does cut grass though.I may have a 'Friday afternoon' one, but I wish I'd never bought a Mountfield. I never will again.

First, this mower is difficult to start. Brand new and I have to pull about 8 times to get it to fire. My old 10-year-old mower started 1st or 2nd pull even from cold. Second, the grass collection is just awful. Damp grass blocks the collector close to the blades so clippings are all over the lawn. Third, the grass box mechanism is hopeless. To get the grass box off, you have to tip the box forward, so spilling clippings out at the rear of the mower. Obviously whoever designed this thing has never used it!

I have used this Mountfield mower for 2 hours and each time the blade bosses have fractured and the blade has spun and dropped off!. The tiny fixings for the blade are far too fragile for the size and weight of the blade. I am currently trying to get my money back - avoid and go for a more robust mower such as AL-KO which I have used without problems for many years

Sorry I bought this mountfield lawnmower it's no good with a name like Honda i though it would be reliable but no it not

I have been in the market for a lawnmover, bought this product because of the Honda name, terrible stop working same day had to return the product immediately

just bought one and it wont start up
