Replacement Foam Helmet Pads Universal Kit Bicycle Cycling Skating

My kids helmets foam pads were a little grimy after a couple of seasons of casual bicycle riding in the summer heat. Having had no luck finding replacements in stores or other "big box" stores, I found these on amazon. Initially I was hesitant to try these as they are not manufacturer replacements to my kids' two different style helmets and the price seemed a little high if it didn't actually work. However, I'm glad I went ahead and bought these. I didn't need to cut the foam pieces, but I could imagine that it could be done. The foam pieces will stick to the velcro sticky dots that come with it. For my kids, I found I was able to replace nearly 2 helmets foam pads. Not sure how these will work for serious heavy exercisers or adults/more serious recreational activity than kids riding their scooters on a sidewalk, etc. However, they worked great to replace the foam pads in my kids' helmets for casual summer bike and scooter riding.

I was worried because I read reviews saying the round velcro dots didn't stick to the bike helmet, so the mounting of the foam pieces was compromised. I went ahead and ordered anyway, figuring it was all about surface prep. The pads are so cheap, and my helmet so in need, I didn't think it through. When I got the pads I realized the reason my failed helmet pads had made my helmet unusable is because it has 5 permanent velcro dots across the forehead area, and without pads the dots were the cause of the pain to my forehead. So the pads in the kit fit great, with just a little trim with a pair of scissors. If your helmet has built in velcro like dots these pads are perfect!

I have a 25 year old helmet that I guess you could say I am attached too. After looking at new ones in the store I bought this kit and in 1 minute my helmet is super comfortable again! Great product - fast and easy.It would be nice to include a couple thinknesses. Also the one strip of adhesive Velcro pieces was about 1/2 as many as I would have liked.

Easy to install, has lots of pieces, and a great value for the money.

Pads are comfortable to use and easy to install. They lose a star due to being stingy with the velcro stickies. There are 4 pads that are very long and need a least 3 stickies (preferably 4) to keep them in place. I could only put 2 stickies per pad, and even then ran out before attaching all the pads. I now have 2 pads sitting in a drawer until i can go to the store and buy more sticky velcro stuff.

I purchased the Morpher folding helmet and there was virtually no padding. This was a $150 helmet and it was the most uncomfortable helmet I've worn. I needed the portability of the folding helmet but it was just unusable because it was so uncomfortable. Almost had to return it but thought I tried some new foam padding inserts. These $10 inserts saved that helmet. it's so much better, no edges, or hard helmet pushing onto my head. Love them, works great!

The foam pads on my Giro bike helmet got too disintegrated to use. Instead of getting a new helmet right now, I tried these. They fit perfectly, and I have a few left over in case one or two need replacing. They were easy to install. You can cut them if necessary - I used regular scissors to cut one of the long ones in half to make 2 shorter ones. I am very pleased with them and would recommend them.

I gave it a 1 because they need to send more sticky pads along with the product, and the sticky pads need to be more adhesive! How else are they going to stay on!? I'll probably end up using a hot glue gun to get them to stay.
