Great value pack , does the job.

I am surprised just how good these are. 200 go a long way too. I have them in my canister filter and hang-on back filter and I still have over half of them left!

Good quality only downfall is they float

Pictures show them sat on the bottom of the fish tank. I was going to use them as added bacteria growing surface area in my tube. But they float.

Work very well in keeping water really clear

So this is a good choice for its value. I purchased to bulk up my boi media in a 500L reef tank sump. My main issue is they float which makes them a pain to isolate in a single chamber. I have had to cover them off by moving other filter media. Not ideal but again not bad for the price. Packaging was terrible. It came in a tied up plastic bag with no real labelling of any sort.

I bought these because I only have standard bio balls that grow the bacteria that converts ammonia to nitrite, but they don’t grow the bacteria that contest nitrite to nitrate very well. These bio balls are what you want for converting nitrite to nitrate. They like good quality. I like that there’s a sponge in the center, that’s thinking outside the box. I’ll be adding them to my pond tomorrow along with some nitrifying bacteria and we will see how it goes. Overall I’m happy and I’ll definitely be buying more when I decide which size I want
