I wish I'd taken a "before" pic because it almost completely restored my years-old and heavily-used P1 travel press to new. I washed it after every use, using detergent and a brush like the very old instructions said, but it almost looked copper inside by this point. In 30 minutes of soaking the tea filter in hot water with a teaspoon of the ESPRO cleaning powder, inside the press (the P1 is 500 mL), the insides went from a steampunk residue I couldn't scrub off with a brush and soap, to pristine silvery stainless steel again. The tea filter mesh is silvery again too, and the plastic is black and shiny with no filmy residue. The force to press the plunger dropped significantly. The only parts it didn't entirely restore were the silicone seals around the top and bottom of the tea filter. They are visibly cleaner (including under the channels they sit in around the basket), but not white like a new one. Very glad I bought this and wish I'd noticed this existed sooner.

The media could not be loaded. This stuff made my fine mesh coffee filter look like new. I had already replaced the filters once before because after some time, no amount of scrubbing would get them clean and they would get so clogged i could no longer press the coffee all the way. I was about to replace them again, but decided to give this a chance. With this, there was no scrubbing, just soaking. And it came out sparkling clean!

I guess I was about 2 years overdue on a good cleaning. I'd tried scrubbing the filter but that didn't work so well. Then I coughed up the rather steep $16 and bought this, soaked my filter and it came out looking brand new. The Espro looks quite spiffy too.I would have given it 5 stars but the price tag is a bit much. Instructions are to use 15 gm each time so that means this is good for 9 uses. That's almost $2 a pop. They should just double the quantity of product, then it would all be good.

This was AMAZING! My espro filter looks brand new! Either use it in your sink or a large bowl because this stuff will bubble right out!
