Helps stop nosebleeds in a few minutes
My EN&T doctor gave me one of these clips and I immediately went to Amazon to buy more. I wanted to have several to keep around at home and in my purse. There were less expensive options, but this one looked closest to what the doctor gave me.

Nosebleeders unite! This helps.
I get super bad nosebleeds every winter when the air turns dry. I've had 3 bad nose bleeds just in the past 5 days. The second one sent me to the ER.My ER doc stopped my bleeding with some medication and by putting a nose clamp on my nose. He told me that pressure has to be applied at the soft part of my nose, not at the top of my bridge like everyone in my life has told me to do. I thought the nose clamp was pretty cool, so I went on Amazon to buy my own to keep in my "emergency nosebleed kits" from now on.The clamp that my doctor gave me had foam pads. As you can imagine, they got bloody very quickly and so had to toss it right after the first use. He gave me a backup, though. Even then, I wanted to find a nose clamp that I could clean and reuse. So I bought the 3 Pcs - Nasal Compression Clips Epistaxis Care clips from Amazon.First off, they're pricier than most others but I attributed that to the fact that i can wash these and reuse them. The pads are made of silicone, not foam, so I can dissasemble the whole thing and wash it. Ironically, the next day after they arrived, I had to use them for another nosebleed. These worked great! Unlike the foam one that my doctor gave me, these ones didn't get "slippery" when they got bloody (and they're going to get bloody). They stayed put and clamped tightly but comfortably. The one my doctor gave me became so slippery with blood that it became useless after a while. Literally useless as it would just slip off my nose.So if you're a nosebleeder like I am, first off, I feel for you buddy and know that you're not alone in your struggles with these inconvenient bloody episodes. And if you choose to use a nose clamp to help stop the flood gates of blood from your proboscis, I do recommend these ones from Amazon because they are reusable.I took off one star though because after the first use, I noticed that my clamp wasn't as tight as it was right out of the package, like it might have stretch a millimeter or so. It was minor, though, and still clamped on tight afterward. So at this rate, I should be able to get 3 or 4 uses (or more) out of one before I have to toss it because it gets too stretched out. (I have a wide nose, though, so maybe that is the reason.) This clamp was really helpful, though. And for those of us that struggle with the inconvenience (and mess) of bad nosebleeds, having something like this to stop the bleeding quickly and keep the sink clean is worth it.

Effective Device
I'm temporarily ( I hope ) on three blood thinners and I've been having nosebleeds often over the last several months. I have tried clips from three different manufacturers. These clips work fine, but I have a slightly larger nose and found them pretty tight. We tried dunking them in near boiling water for a couple of minutes and then clamping them open with an old time spring clothespin until they cooled. Perfect!
